Zul’Aman Loot Guide: TBC Anniversary Drops & Gear

Zul'Aman loot will provide item level 128 to 141 catch-up gear across six raid encounters and four timed hostage chests when the raid launches on October 22. Defeating bosses awards Badges of Justice alongside specialized weapons and armor, while completing the full timed challenge grants the Amani War Bear mount. This guide breaks down every boss drop table, item level brackets, and timed event rewards in the 10-player instance.

Zul'Aman Item Levels and Badges

Standard boss encounters yield epic gear between item levels 128 and 133, while the final boss, Zul'jin, awards weapons and armor from item level 133 up to item level 138. The timed hostage chests scale separately, offering item level 128 armor from the first chest, item level 132 weapons from the second, and item level 141 rings from the third.

A full clear of Zul'Aman yields 13 Badges of Justice. Each of the first five encounters drops two badges, while Zul'jin awards three. Several bosses also have Formula: Enchant Weapon – Executioner in their loot tables. Zul'Aman operates on a 3-day reset lockout with no attunement requirements.

Timed Event Hostage Chests

Hitting the gong at the raid entrance starts the timed event. Raids must kill each of the first four animal bosses before the execution timer expires to free that boss's captive and spawn a bonus chest. Defeating Nalorakk adds 15 minutes to the timer, and defeating Akil'zon adds 10 minutes.

Rescuing the first hostage awards one of eight item level 128 armor pieces or cloaks:

Timed Reward Chest 4

Reaching and defeating all four animal bosses before the execution timer runs out rewards the fourth chest, which contains the Amani War Bear mount.

Trash Mob Drops

Trash mobs within Zul'Aman do not carry notable dedicated equipment drops. Trash mobs drop Amani Hex Sticks, which players use on Forest Frogs to free NPCs who leave chests containing consumable charms such as the Amani Charm of the Witch Doctor and Amani Charm of the Bloodletter, and a freed frog may instead yield the Mojo pet.
