Key characteristics of Waystones are:

• Tier System — waystones are categorized by tiers, usually ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 16. Higher-tier Waystones offer increased difficulty but with much better rewards;
• Modifiers — many Waystones come with built-in modifiers that add extra difficulty or unique conditions to the area — such as increased monster damage, extra Elites, or additional loot drops;
• Progression — when you complete Waystones of higher tiers, you unlock deeper layers of the Atlas and allow yourself access to even more challenging fights (and better rewards!).
