Updated October 16, 2026 for the run-up to the WoW Forever launch on November 4, 2026. Written from the beta; details can change at launch.

Enchanting in World of Warcraft: Forever lets you disenchant uncommon and rare items into magical dust and essences to apply permanent enhancements to gear. Ahead of the November 4, 2026 launch, beta testing allows characters to advance through profession ranks using updated recipes. This WoW Forever Enchanting guide details the current 1-300 leveling path, trainer locations, campfire items, and rank requirements established in the beta client.

Enchanting rank requirements

Each tier of Enchanting increases your maximum skill cap once you fulfill the tradeskill and character level requirements. Because the beta caps character progression at level 30, Artisan Enchanting cannot be learned until higher levels unlock.

The WoW Forever Enchanting Boost handles gathering materials and completing the leveling process on your character.

Campfire utilities

Enchanters can place utility objects near an active campfire once they hit specific skill milestones.

  • Enchanted Lute: Requires skill 20 and grants nearby sitting players bonus Armor, base attributes, and resistances that do not stack with Mark of the Wild.
  • Arcane Salvager: Requires skill 140, enhances disenchanting efficiency at camp, and provides the Enchanted Lute aura.
  • Arcane Forge: Requires skill 300, provides the Enchanted Lute buff, and acts as a forge for recipes that require one.

Leveling route 1-300

The pre-launch leveling path relies on data extracted from beta build 1.60.1.70425, requiring approximately 372 crafts. Progress beyond skill 225 requires character level 35 to access Artisan training.

  1. 1–23: Craft Enchant Bracer – Inferior Stamina using 1 Mote of Magic per craft.
  2. 23–90: Learn Journeyman at skill 50, then craft Enchant Chest – Inferior Stamina using 1 Strange Dust per attempt.
  3. 90–128: Craft Enchant Cloak – Minor Protection using 2 Strange Dust per craft.
  4. 128–164: Learn Expert at skill 125, then craft Enchant Boots – Minor Stamina using 4 Strange Dust per attempt.
  5. 164–210: Craft Enchant Boots – Lesser Agility using 1 Soul Dust per attempt.
  6. 210–259: Learn Artisan at skill 200 and character level 35, then craft Enchant Gloves – Agility using 1 Vision Dust per craft.
  7. 259–273: Craft Lesser Mana Oil using 1 Dream Dust, 1 Purple Lotus, and 1 Crystal Vial per craft.
  8. 273–300: Craft Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina using 6 Dream Dust per craft.

Completing this path requires approximately 326 Strange Dust, 70 Soul Dust, 70 Vision Dust, 207 Dream Dust, 21 Purple Lotus, and 21 Crystal Vials. Tailoring is the usual second profession for an Enchanter, as it can turn cloth into uncommon or better equipment to disenchant for materials, though the profitability of breaking down crafted cloth is debated.

Trainer locations

Apprentice and Journeyman trainers are stationed across racial starting areas and faction capitals. Higher ranks require specialized trainers located out in the world or inside dungeons.

Alliance trainers

Horde trainers

  • Apprentice (1–75): Jhag in The Drag within Orgrimmar, Malcomb Wynn at The Apothecarium in Undercity, Mot Dawnstrider in Thunder Bluff, Vance Undergloom in Brill, Pa'zula in Sen'jin Village, and Nasalanna Windsinger or Eaysaa Brightgust on Zephras Isle.
  • Journeyman (75–150): Godan in Orgrimmar, Lavinia Crowe in Undercity, and Teg Dawnstrider in Thunder Bluff.
  • Expert (150–225): Hgarth at Sun Rock Retreat in the Stonetalon Mountains.
  • Artisan (225–300): Annora inside Uldaman.

The vendor value of crafted wands was reduced to a single copper, an adjustment that most players feel ruined an early gold-making option.
