Best Rewards to Prioritize First

1. Claim launch bonuses — collect 50 Legendary Marks, two Bright Engrams, and the Toast to the Monument emblem from the Special Deliveries terminal in the Tower.
2. Unlock all plaque vendors — inspect the Monument, then make the first Tenet of Bravery purchase. The remaining Tenet vendors open after that.
3. Check title-gated and challenge-gated rewards — Chatterwhite requires completing Hawthorne’s weekly Vault of Glass Deepsight quest before purchase. Einherjar Coronet requires eight raid challenge Triumphs. Immortal Legend set requires the Immortal title.
4. Buy event weapon engrams if you missed old weapons — especially Dawning, Festival, Guardian Games, Solstice, and seasonal pools like Lawless and Reclamation. These are part of the permanent Monument vendor structure; no limited event window is currently attached.
5. Save upgrade materials for keeper rolls — do not rush Tier 5 upgrades on weapons you plan to replace. Ascendant Alloys and Enhancement Prisms are time-gated.
6. Attune before every farming session — Attunement Anywhere is free, has no cooldown, and can be changed between runs. There is no reason not to use it.
7. Farm Distortion windows for high-tier patrol drops — Heroic public events during an active Distortion window are expected to be the main Tier 5 patrol target based on pre-launch info. Confirm the exact reward split after early launch testing. If Distortion-exclusive weapons are confirmed in a destination’s pool, those windows become mandatory farming time.

How to Get Legendary Marks

Legendary Marks are the new account-wide currency for Tower Monument purchases. They are earned primarily through Monument Triumphs — including objectives tied to endgame content, playlists, destinations, and account-wide Monument achievements. Any Marks granted through the Triumphant Rewards Pass should be treated as bonus income rather than the main farming path until the full track is verified. Exact earn rates per activity and Triumph category should be mapped out as the full Triumph list becomes clear through early testing.

Monument Triumphs can be opened directly from any Tenet vendor screen through the “View Triumphs” button, or from the Journey tab under the Monument of Triumph category. Both paths work; the vendor screen route is faster when you are already at the Tower.

Login and launch bonuses: Every player logging in during the Monument of Triumph launch period receives 50 Legendary Marks, two Bright Engrams, and the Toast to the Monument emblem. Claim this package from the Special Deliveries terminal in the Tower. Veteran accounts that participated in every major Destiny 2 expansion may also qualify for the Old Lights emblem and Elemental Qi emote — check veteran reward eligibility through Bungie’s veteran reward flow or Special Deliveries.

Tower Monument and Plaque Vendors

The Tower receives a permanent visual refresh alongside a new Monument structure in the courtyard. Tiered Armor Focusing by Power

Vendor armor focusing scales with Power bracket. Tier 3 and Tier 4 armor are accessible at lower Power thresholds. Tier 5 armor focusing requires higher Power — it is a late-progression path, not an early shortcut.

At mid-range Power, vendor focusing is the most efficient route to Tier 3 and Tier 4 pieces with good stat rolls while organic Tier 5 drops are still being accumulated. At higher Power, Tier 5 focusing through the relevant vendor becomes the fastest route to a specific piece without waiting on rotation schedules.

For weapons, whether focusing targets specific tiers or only specific weapons within the standard drop pool is not confirmed in pre-launch materials. Confirm at launch.

When Focusing Beats Raw Farming

Vendor focusing is often more efficient than raw activity farming for specific pieces once currency is accumulated:

• Focuses a specific item rather than the full loot table
• Removes rotation dependency for activities on weekly lockouts
• At higher Power, Tier 5 focusing gives direct access to the ceiling without needing a featured week

The trade-off: focusing costs currency that also has other uses, and raw farming builds currency alongside drops. If you need one specific weapon with one specific perk, focus. If you are building out a broad Tier 5 arsenal across multiple weapons, raw farming while accumulating currency is more efficient.

Which Vendor Currency Should You Farm First?

• Iron Battalion — bank Iron Banner Ciphers during active IB weeks; Trials does not run concurrently
• Cruel Electrum — Trials Engrams via Saint-14; Trials weekends only
• Per Audacia — Crucible Ciphers through Competitive rank progression
• Triumphal Anthem — Crucible Ciphers through Shaxx, accessible across all Crucible Ops playlists

Weapon Tier System

Monument of Triumph introduces a five-tier weapon progression system across the entire loot pool — ritual playlist weapons, raid and dungeon drops, crafted weapons, and Adept raid pieces all enter the same framework. Tier is not a static property of a weapon. It is a progression track you advance through the upgrade mod socket in the weapon inspection screen.

Tier 3 is the first meaningful threshold. Tier 5 is the ceiling.

Upgrade Costs

Upgrading from Tier 1 to Tier 5 costs Glimmer, Ascendant Alloys, and Enhancement Prisms. Exact per-step costs are not confirmed in pre-launch materials. Do not commit materials to a weapon you are not certain about keeping until costs are documented at launch.

Two Critical Limitations

Upgrading cannot add perks to existing columns. If a weapon dropped with one perk in a column, upgrading it to Tier 5 does not add a second option. Perk pools are fixed at drop.

Multi-perk columns require organic Tier 5 drops. Weapons with multiple options in a perk column — where you can choose between two perks in the same slot — only appear on weapons that dropped at Tier 5 naturally. You cannot upgrade your way into multi-perk column flexibility.

The upgrade system is a path to maximize a roll you already have, not a way to improve a suboptimal roll into a better one.

Organic Tier 5 vs Upgraded Tier 5

Organic Tier 5 drops directly from high-end activities at Tier 5 and can have multi-perk columns. This is the ceiling version of a weapon and should always be the goal when farming endgame content.

Upgraded Tier 5 is any weapon you took from a lower tier to Tier 5 through the upgrade socket. It has all Tier 5 benefits — enhanced perks, enhanced mods, enhanced components, the stat boost — but perk columns are fixed at whatever the weapon dropped with. Still a strong weapon; it just will never have multi-perk column flexibility.

When to upgrade vs keep farming:

Upgrade when the weapon has the exact perk combination you want in single-perk columns, when you need it functional now, or when the next farming window for that activity is weeks away.

Keep farming when you want multi-perk column flexibility, when the current roll has a suboptimal perk you want to replace, or when the activity is on a favorable rotation and organic Tier 5 drops are accessible soon.

Crafted Weapons

Crafted weapons enter the tier system through weapon level milestones rather than the upgrade mod socket. The specific level thresholds per tier step are not confirmed in pre-launch materials. The practical implication: crafted weapons still require time in activity to reach Tier 5 — they do not bypass the system through materials alone.

Enhanced perks on crafted weapons unlock through level progression, not the upgrade socket. This keeps crafted weapons closer to their existing identity: controlled perk selection through leveling rather than pure drop RNG.

Crafted weapons cannot have multi-perk column flexibility — you pick one perk per column at the time of crafting. The advantage they retain is that perk selection is user-controlled rather than RNG-dependent.

Adept Raid Weapons

Adept raid weapons enter the tier system through Enclave upgrades rather than the standard upgrade socket. Exact process and material costs are not confirmed in pre-launch materials. Their intrinsic advantages — additional mod slots, Adept-specific mods, stat bonuses — stack on top of Tier 5 unlocks rather than sitting separately. A fully upgraded Adept weapon at Tier 5 is the highest-end version of any given weapon type in the game. Adept weapons drop from challenge completions in featured raids during their rotation week.

Which Weapons to Upgrade First

Upgrade resources — Ascendant Alloys and Enhancement Prisms especially — are finite and time-gated. A few principles:

• Upgrade activity-locked weapons first. Weapons that only drop during specific rotations or limited events cost more to re-farm. If you have a good roll of a dungeon weapon that is off-rotation for weeks, upgrading it is more efficient than waiting.
• Upgrade weapons in your current endgame loadout. Enhanced perks and the Masterwork stat boost matter most on weapons you are actively using in Pantheon, raids, or endgame PvP.
• Do not upgrade a roll you plan to replace. If you are actively farming for a better version — a different perk in one column, or holding out for an organic Tier 5 with multi-perk columns — do not sink Ascendant Alloys into the inferior roll. Run it at Tier 3 for Enhanced Weapon Mods if needed and hold the Tier 5 materials for the version you want to keep.
• Crafted weapons do not need the upgrade socket path. Put materials toward leveling instead of competing with your Ascendant Alloy supply.
• PvP weapons require a decision. Enhanced perks and the Masterwork stat boost matter in PvP, but multi-perk column flexibility matters more. Decide whether to upgrade or continue farming for an organic Tier 5 before committing materials.

Attunement Anywhere

Attunement Anywhere is Monument of Triumph’s weapon targeting system. One weapon can be attuned per supported activity type. Attuning a weapon increases its drop rate from that activity for the session. No currency, no cooldown, no penalty for switching between runs.

Supported Activities

Distortions, Royal Drops, Solo Ops, Fireteam Ops, Arena Ops, Pinnacle Ops, Crucible Ops, Trials, Iron Banner, Gambit, Onslaught, and SRL.

Practical Use

• Identify the specific weapon you want before starting a session, then attune it
• Switch freely between sessions — no cost to changing targets
• When multiple desirable weapons are available, attune the one with the lowest baseline drop rate or the longest gap before its next natural farming window
• Attunement increases probability, not certainty. Volume still matters alongside targeting
• Armor is not included. Armor farming runs through activity drops, vendor focusing, and event currencies. If your priority is a specific armor piece, Attunement Anywhere does not help and your time is better spent on the vendor focusing path for that set

Stacking Attunement with Distortion Windows

Attunement Anywhere and Distortion patrol farming work together. Attuning a specific destination weapon before a Distortion window opens should pair well with the elevated loot potential from that window, assuming the weapon is part of the supported attunement pool. Attune first, then queue into the window.

Whether attunement applies to Distortion-exclusive drops or only to the standard destination loot table should be confirmed through early testing.

Distortion Loot Basics

Distortions are an hourly empowerment system that rotates through patrol destinations. During an active Distortion window, destination activities and public events can award high-tier loot, with Heroic public events expected to be the main Tier 5 patrol target based on pre-launch information. Confirm the exact normal/Heroic reward split after early launch testing — the live reward table may differ from preview materials.

Heroic public events during a Distortion window are still the most loot-efficient patrol activity available. Whatever the exact tier split, the gap between a Distortion window and standard patrol farming is real.

Certain weapons are Distortion-exclusive — they only drop during active windows and cannot be obtained through normal patrol play, vendor focusing, or other acquisition paths. If a weapon you want is Distortion-exclusive, you work around the hourly rotation. The full list of exclusive weapons per destination should be confirmed through early community testing.

Destinations confirmed as part of the rotation include Cosmodrome, Nessus, Europa, Dreaming City, Moon, Neomuna, and Throne World. Whether all patrol destinations participate or only a subset is not confirmed. The community will establish the full rotation schedule quickly post-launch.

Reward Pass and Account Progression

The final reward pass, renamed the Triumphant Rewards Pass, has no pre-planned expiration date. Progress accumulates at whatever pace you play.

Based on pre-launch reward pass previews, the track includes cosmetics, Bright Dust, XP boosts, and the new Exotic Hand Cannon, Turncoat. Exact tier placement and full track contents should be confirmed in-game as the pass track is reviewed.

If XP boost tiers are accessible early in the pass, prioritize reaching them before spending attention on cosmetic tiers — they have the most practical value for players leveling characters or farming Power.

Bright Engram Focusing

Bright Dust can now be used to focus Bright Engrams into specific cosmetic categories rather than pulling from the full Eververse pool: shaders, emotes, finishers, Exotic weapon ornaments, and Exotic armor ornaments. Focused engrams only award cosmetics you do not already own — once every item in a category is collected, that category locks. No wasted pulls on owned items.

A rotating Daily Offer provides one direct Bright Dust purchase per day. The offer rotation is daily — check Eververse before spending large amounts of Bright Dust on focused engrams, in case a specific item you want is coming up in the rotation at a better price.

Both Bright Dust and Chronology are now tracked directly on the character UI rather than requiring a vendor visit to check balance.

Vault, Loadouts, and Exotic Transmog

Vault space has been expanded — confirmed reports put the new cap at 1,300 slots, up from 1,000, though confirm the exact figure in-game. Loadouts increase from 12 to 20, with each slot now saving a complete build configuration, including Artifact perk selections. Exotic armor pieces can now use standard ornaments while keeping the yellow Exotic icon, with custom ornaments disabled in active PvP matches. These changes matter together: Monument adds more armor sets, more Tier 5 keeper rolls, and more cosmetic flexibility at the same time, and the expanded vault and loadout counts give you room to actually use all of it.

Monument of Triumph has several Bungie Rewards tied to the update: the Monument of Triumph shirt for players who earn the Immortal title by the listed deadline, a free digital soundtrack reward, and a Sparrow Racing League jacket arriving later in June. These do not affect in-game power or vendor progression. They are separate from Legendary Mark vendors and in-game loot.
