The Zul'Aman release date is October 22, with a global launch at 3:00 p.m. PDT / 23:00 BST. The raid opens in the Ghostlands in the Eastern Kingdoms and is tuned for level 70 characters. No attunement is required to enter the instance, and it runs on a 3-day reset lockout.
When exactly does Zul'Aman unlock?
The launch is global rather than region-by-region: October 22 at 3:00 p.m. PDT / 23:00 BST. The phase that brings the raid is dated to October 22, 2026.
Do you need attunement or prerequisites for Zul'Aman?
No. There is no attunement requirement to enter the instance. You also do not need to worry about attunements for this phase; there are no requirements to enter Zul'Aman, though there is a short quest chain available on the day. That quest chain is not a gate you must finish before the raid unlocks.
What is inside Zul'Aman?
Zul'Aman is a 10-player catch-up raid. Gather nine allies and head into the stronghold. The raid has six bosses: Nalorakk, Akil'zon, Jan'alai, Halazzi, Hex Lord Malacrass, and Zul'jin.

How do you get the Amani War Bear?
Zul'jin and his lieutenants hold several hostages inside Zul'Aman, and the Amani begin preparing to execute them as soon as your raid breaches the gates. Rescue all the hostages before time runs out and your raid earns the rare Amani War Bear battle mount. Each lieutenant you defeat and hostage you rescue earns additional loot, and defeating Akil'zon or Nalorakk extends the timer, giving you more time to save the rest.
If you would rather have the timed run handled for you, the TBC Anniversary Zul'Aman Boost takes the raid clear and the timed event off your hands.
What else changes when Zul'Aman arrives?
- Doomlord Kazzak and Doomwalker loot becomes Bind on Equip, up from Bind on Pickup.
- The Battle for Mount Hyjal and The Black Temple no longer require attunement to enter.
- The reputation requirement to buy Heroic dungeon keys drops to Honored.
- All Heroic dungeons are adjusted to their final, reduced difficulty state.
- Doomlord Kazzak, Doomwalker, and all bosses in Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, and Zul'Aman can now drop Badges of Justice.
- G'eras in Shattrath offers more powerful wares for Badges of Justice, including Nether Vortex.
- Magtheridon's Black Sack of Gems and Jewelcrafter's Brilliant Glass can now contain epic gems; existing Brilliant Glasses and previously looted, unopened Black Sacks will not.
- Outland faction vendors offer Leatherworking recipes for Greater Drums, Knothide Quiver, and Knothide Ammo Pouch.
- Primal Nether and Nether Vortex are no longer soulbound.
What can you buy with Badges of Justice?
G'eras in Shattrath sells the new badge gear. Bracers cost 35 badges, and off-hands and a neck piece sit at 35 as well, while most cloaks cost 60. Shoulders, gloves, belts, boots, chests, legs, and trinkets cost 60 to 75 badges, while idols, librams, and totems cost 20 and the wand costs 25. Nether Vortex is available as a crafting reagent for 15 badges.
Zul'Aman loot and item levels
