⚠ Event Status — Last Chance: Wild Wild Woods started on June 25, 2026, and is scheduled to end on July 1, 2026, at 13:00 Moscow time. Finish the Silver Badge hand-in and use the loot routes while boosted Woods spawns are still active.

If you’re reading this after the event ends, use the guide as a recap of the event mechanics and check whether Jaeger’s Silver Badge barters are still available in-game.

What Is Wild, Wild Woods?

Wild Wild Woods is themed around a Scav mutiny. Splinter gangs have ignored Fence’s orders, looted hidden stashes, and moved into Woods with revolvers, lever-action rifles, Silver Badges, and high-value loot.

The event revolves around Silver Badges: you need 12 found-in-raid badges for Jaeger’s quest, and completing it unlocks the I Am the Law achievement plus Jaeger’s special LL1 barter trades.

Wild, Wild Woods Event Rules

Escape From Tarkov Wild Wild Woods: Farm Silver Badges, Marked Room Keys &Amp; Rare Loot
Escape From Tarkov Wild, Wild Woods Event Extended Until July 1, Last Chance! Silver Badge &Amp; Shturman Farming Guide 11

Woods-specific changes:

  • PMC count on Woods is reduced, with reports placing the cap around six
  • Shturman spawns at the Sawmill in every raid and always carries a Silver Badge
  • Player Scavs spawn earlier than usual, and Scav cooldown is significantly reduced — high Fence reputation and Intelligence Center upgrades can bring it down even further
  • High-value loot — marked keys, Labs keycards, Moonshine, and rare valuables — is seeded across new spawn tables on Woods

Scav rule:

  • Scav-on-Scav kills are intended to carry no karma penalty during the event. However, player reports — particularly in PvE and on non-Woods Scav runs — mention inconsistent behavior, including unexpected reputation loss. See the Scav karma warning below before acting on this.

Scav loadouts:

  • Event Scavs carry lever-action rifles and revolvers. Woods has long sightlines and open ground, so even AI Scavs can punish low-armor PMC runs. Go in geared.

Reduced Scav cooldown is one of the strongest parts of this event. If your hideout is behind, our Tarkov Far-forward GPS Signal Amplifier Unit Farm can help with one of the rare items needed for Intelligence Center progression and better Scav run uptime.

PMC vs Scav: Which Should You Run?

Wild Wild Woods Event In Escape From Tarkov: Scav Players, Shturman Loot &Amp; Jaeger Task Guide
Escape From Tarkov Wild, Wild Woods Event Extended Until July 1, Last Chance! Silver Badge &Amp; Shturman Farming Guide 12

Both work — just for different jobs.

Run PMC if you want fresh loot. Reduced PMC limits mean your first few minutes are usually cleaner — but that window closes fast once Player Scavs start spawning in. A well-geared PMC can sweep Sawmill, Med Camp, and Scav Village and extract before the map fills up. The early route can also feel strangely quiet, which makes the later Player Scav flood even more dangerous if you get greedy.

Run Scav if you need badge progress. Fence’s event dailies reward Silver Badges for tasks like extracting with specific weapon types or provisions in a single Scav raid — check the exact requirement before loading in, because partial completion usually doesn’t count. Slower than Shturman farming, but safer if you don’t want to feed PMC kits into Sawmill.

The longer you stay, the uglier Woods gets.

Woods is not friendly to undergeared PMCs during Wild Wild Woods. Use our Tarkov Gear Configurator Boost to set up armor, weapons, mags, and helmets before taking Shturman fights or high-value loot routes.

Requirement: Hand in 12 Silver Badges, all found in-raid. Flea market badges do not count.

Inventory note: Silver Badges are 1×1 items, but only 10 can be held in a raid inventory at the same time. If you’re farming them directly in-raid, expect to finish the 12-badge requirement across multiple raids.

Rewards:

  • +25,000 EXP
  • 350,000 Roubles base (367,500 with Intelligence Center 1 / 402,500 with Intelligence Center 2)
  • I Am the Law achievement
  • Jaeger LL1 Silver Badge barters unlocked

Hand in FIR badges once you have enough for progress — don’t risk bringing them back into another raid.

If you are short on time before the event ends, ourTarkov Jaeger Quests Boost can help with Jaeger progression, quest completion, and barter unlocks without spending every raid fighting over Sawmill.

Silver Badge Farming

Escape From Tarkov In-Game Event Guide: Wild Wild Woods Loot, Scav Violence &Amp; Barters
Escape From Tarkov Wild, Wild Woods Event Extended Until July 1, Last Chance! Silver Badge &Amp; Shturman Farming Guide 14

Shturman is the most reliable single source in any PMC raid. He’s guaranteed at the Sawmill with a guaranteed badge on his body. His guards have also been reported to carry badges, though that’s not confirmed. Beyond the badge, Shturman can still carry his usual boss loot and the Shturman stash key, so Sawmill is worth hitting for raw Rouble value too, not only badge progress.

Fence event dailies are the safest grind. Tasks rotate daily, and reward badges for Scav extracts with specific items. Good if you’re farming badges without gambling your PMC kit every run.

Loose loot — Silver Badges and rare valuables appear on the new event tables across Woods. Not guaranteed at any specific spot, but worth checking while you’re already sweeping for keycards and marked keys.

Scav bodies — don’t skip hostile Scavs during the event. Besides badges, players have reported valuable barter items, provisions, meds, and high-value loot on hostile Scav bodies, especially around Sawmill and other high-traffic areas.

Since Shturman is the most consistent badge source during Wild Wild Woods, players who do not want to gamble kits at Sawmill can use ourTarkov All Bosses Service for boss kill support and safer event progress.

Best Loot Locations on Woods

The tiny chair, tarp, barrel, and shelf spots are player-tested, not patch-note-confirmed, so treat them as strong checks rather than guaranteed spawns.

Don’t only loot containers. Many of the best event drops are loose items sitting on stumps, crates, benches, chairs, tables, beds, shelves, open barrels, or trash cans. If a spot looks newly decorated or oddly packed with loose loot, slow down and check it carefully.

Escape From Tarkov Wild Wild Woods Guide: Revolvers, Lever-Action Scavs &Amp; Rare Loot Routes
Escape From Tarkov Wild, Wild Woods Event Extended Until July 1, Last Chance! Silver Badge &Amp; Shturman Farming Guide 16

Priority route:

1. New Sawmill (Lumber Mill) — the single best stop. Shturman spawns here every raid. Shacks 1, 2, and 3 have heavy Moonshine, Superwater, whiskey, and vodka activity, including chairs outside. Alcohol and provisions add solid value even when keycard spawns miss. Inside the cabins, check beds, coats, shelves, tables, and open crates — players have reported alcohol, jewelry, figurines, rare keys, and Labs keycards around these surfaces.

In the gray warehouse, slow down around the woodworking machine and lathe area, the chair behind the machine, shelves, floor near crates, and boxes outside the building. Also scan concrete barriers, green crates, truck-side surfaces, and office-adjacent barrels — the event loot table rewards checking flat surfaces that players normally walk past. Blue, Violet, and other Labs keycards have been reported around cabin and warehouse surfaces (community-tested, not guaranteed).

Community reports also note that Moonshine and Superwater volume during the event can temporarily push flea prices down — a useful window if you’re preparing for expensive barters like the THICC Item Case.

Checkpoint opener (spawn-dependent): If you spawn near Checkpoint, use it as a quick first stop before dropping into Sawmill. Check chairs, sandbags, the corpse/crate area, and nearby car and floor surfaces, then move quickly into the Lumber Mill before Player Scavs start filling the raid.

2. Optional Detour: Blood Car / Therapist Vehicle — between Sawmill and Med Camp. Check the open briefcase area, grass, and dirt around the vehicle for loose valuables, provisions, med items, and reported rare key spawns. Not a core priority, but a fast check if it’s on your path.

3. Med Camp (Emercom Camp) — packed with loose valuables. The green canvas tarp inside the camp is a consistent high-value spot. Additional spawns near the stuffed deer head. Check every barrel, crate, and bench surface.

4. Scav Village — multiple residential structures with new valuable tables. The six-bed area has been upgraded for the event. Figurine and poster spawns tend to indicate nearby keycard or key spawns.

5. Old Sawmill — wooden cabins with active event tables. The Abandoned Factory Marked Key has been reported here. Check both floors of the two-floor wooden house, including walls, floor corners, beds, and coats.

6. Optional: Scav House, USEC Camp — worth a sweep if your spawn or extract route puts you nearby. Colored keycards have been reported behind the blue truck at USEC Camp and on the eastern side. Lower priority than the top stops, but not dead zones.

7. Scav Bunker — no active event tables confirmed. Not a dedicated farming stop.

If the route sounds good but surviving Woods does not, ourTarkov All Raids Bundle can help with raid completion, boss kills, quest progress, and safer extracts during limited-time events.

Scav Karma Warning

Escape From Tarkov Wild Wild Woods Event: Unique Achievement, Associated Task &Amp; Jaeger Barters
Escape From Tarkov Wild, Wild Woods Event Extended Until July 1, Last Chance! Silver Badge &Amp; Shturman Farming Guide 17

Scav-on-Scav kills are intended to have no karma penalty during Wild Wild Woods, but players — especially in PvE and on non-Woods Scav runs — have reported inconsistent behavior, including reputation loss mid-event. If you can’t afford to lose Fence rep, avoid unnecessary Scav kills until you’ve confirmed penalty suppression is working on your account. Wiping or resetting a PvE profile to resolve this is not recommended without official BSG confirmation.

If you already lost Fence reputation during the event or want safer Scav cooldowns long-term, our Tarkov Scav Karma Boost can help rebuild Scav karma through task and reputation farming

Tactical Checklist

Escape From Tarkov Wild Wild Woods Loot Guide: Scav Players, Marked Room Keys &Amp; No-Karma Violence
Escape From Tarkov Wild, Wild Woods Event Extended Until July 1, Last Chance! Silver Badge &Amp; Shturman Farming Guide 18
  • Check Fence’s event dailies before each session — badge income without gambling your PMC kit
  • On PMC runs, move fast: Sawmill → Med Camp → Scav Village, then extract before Player Scavs fill in
  • Don’t farm noise too long — a loud Sawmill fight pulls in more Player Scavs, so kill Shturman, check the cabins, loot the bodies, and move before the area turns into a swarm
  • Loot every hostile Scav body; badges and rare valuables have been reported on bodies near high-traffic areas
  • Bring CMS or SURV12, splints, and painkillers — Woods terrain, Sniper Rock angles, and upgraded Scav weapons can easily leave you limping with FIR Silver Badges in your bag
  • Use stamina stims (SJ6, Trimadol, 3-BTG) if you need to sweep multiple locations before the map turns hostile
  • Don’t assume extracts are safe — RUAF Roadblock, Outskirts, Dead Man’s Place, and other common exits can be watched by late-raid Player Scavs once Sawmill is cleared
  • Once you have enough FIR badges for the Jaeger hand-in, turn them in instead of risking them in another raid
  • With the event ending July 1 at 13:00 Moscow time, you still have a realistic shot if you can land one good Shturman run and finish a few Fence dailies

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Wild Wild Woods event in Escape from Tarkov?

Wild, Wild Woods is a limited-time Escape from Tarkov event focused on the Woods map. It adds boosted rare loot, earlier Player Scav spawns, reduced PMC pressure, guaranteed Shturman spawns, and a Jaeger quest built around collecting Silver Badges.

When does the Wild, Wild Woods event end?

Wild, Wild Woods is scheduled to end on July 1, 2026, at 13:00 Moscow time. Since the event is time-limited, players should finish Jaeger’s Silver Badge hand-in and use the boosted Woods loot routes before the timer runs out.

Was the Wild, Wild Woods event extended?

Yes. Wild, Wild Woods was originally expected to end earlier, but the event was extended to July 1, 2026, at 13:00 Moscow time. This gives players one final window to farm Silver Badges, kill Shturman, and use the event loot tables.

How do you complete Jaeger’s Wild, Wild Woods quest?

To complete Jaeger’s Wild, Wild Woods quest, you need to hand in 12 Silver Badges found in raid. Completing the quest unlocks the I Am the Law achievement and gives access to Jaeger’s quest-unlocked LL1 Silver Badge barters.

How do you get Silver Badges in Escape from Tarkov?

Silver Badges can be farmed from Shturman, Fence event dailies, loose event loot tables on Woods, and hostile Scav bodies. Shturman is the most reliable single source because he spawns at the Sawmill every raid during the event and carries a guaranteed Silver Badge.

Do Silver Badges need to be found in raid for Jaeger’s quest?

Yes. Jaeger’s Wild, Wild Woods quest requires 12 found-in-raid Silver Badges. Badges bought from the flea market do not count for the quest hand-in, although they can still be useful for barter calculations after the quest is completed.

How many Silver Badges do you need for Wild, Wild Woods?

You need 12 found-in-raid Silver Badges to complete Jaeger’s Wild, Wild Woods quest. Silver Badges are 1×1 items, but only 10 can be held in a raid inventory at the same time, so direct in-raid farming usually takes multiple successful raids.

Where does Shturman spawn during the Wild, Wild Woods event?

During Wild, Wild Woods, Shturman spawns at the Sawmill on Woods every raid. This makes Sawmill the main hotspot for Silver Badge farming, boss loot, Shturman stash key value, and high-risk PvP or Player Scav pressure.

Does Shturman always drop a Silver Badge during Wild, Wild Woods?

Yes. Shturman always carries a Silver Badge during the Wild, Wild Woods event. His guards have also been reported to carry badges, but that is not confirmed as a guaranteed source, so Shturman himself remains the safest target for consistent badge farming.

What are the Jaeger Silver Badge barter rewards?

After completing Jaeger’s 12-badge quest, players unlock several LL1 Silver Badge barters. These include 7.62x51mm M80A1 ammo packs, .338 Lapua Magnum FMJ ammo packs, the AXMC, DVL-10, Armasight Zeus-Pro thermal scope, Red Rebel Ice Pick, and Dorm Room 314 Marked Key.

Where are the best loot spots on Woods during Wild, Wild Woods?

The best loot spots are New Sawmill, Med Camp, Scav Village, Old Sawmill, and spawn-dependent checks like Checkpoint, Blood Car, Scav House, and USEC Camp. New Sawmill is the strongest overall stop because it combines Shturman, Silver Badge farming, Moonshine activity, rare keys, and reported Labs keycard spawns.

Can Labs keycards and marked keys spawn on Woods during the event?

Yes, Labs keycards and marked keys have been reported across new Wild, Wild Woods loot tables. However, exact chair, shelf, barrel, tarp, and warehouse spots are community-tested rather than patch-note-confirmed, so treat them as strong checks rather than guaranteed spawns.

Should you run PMC or Scav during Wild, Wild Woods?

Run PMC if you want fresh loot, fast Sawmill access, and the best chance at Shturman’s guaranteed Silver Badge. Run Scav if you want safer badge progress through Fence event dailies without risking your PMC kit. Both work, but PMC runs are better for fresh loot while Scav runs are better for lower-risk progression.

Is Scav karma disabled during the Wild, Wild Woods event?

Scav-on-Scav kills are intended to carry no karma penalty during Wild, Wild Woods. However, player reports mention inconsistent behavior, especially in PvE and on non-Woods Scav runs, so avoid unnecessary Scav kills if you cannot afford to lose Fence reputation.

Why did some players lose Scav karma during Wild, Wild Woods?

Some players reported unexpected Fence reputation loss during the event, especially in PvE or on non-Woods Scav runs. Because of these reports, the safest approach is to treat the no-penalty rule as intended but not perfectly reliable. Do not reset or wipe a PvE profile to fix this unless Battlestate Games confirms that solution officially.
