It is the Gucci of Azeroth gear. Picture a massive, scaly dragon-themed backpack strapped to your back. This bag doesn’t add any extra storage, no bottomless bag magic here, but it’s a visual masterpiece. You’re basically a walking flex with some serious dragon style.
Want to run around like you’ve got the entire Black Dragonflight watching your back? This backpack is it. People will ask if you’re carrying Deathwing himself. Unfortunately, the answer is no – but we can pretend, right?
So you want the Black Dragonscale Backpack? Welcome to the hunt, my friend! To get this bag, you’ll need to cash in some Corrupted Mementos. You’ll earn them in Horrific Visions by destroying everything N’Zoth throws at you. Gather your Corrupted Mementos, then visit Wrathion in the Chamber of Heart, to buy the backpack for 5,000 Corrupted Mementos. Sounds easy, right? No! To Unlock access to the Black Dragonscale Backpack you’ll need to earn We Have the Technology achievement which requires another 69k of Corrupted Mementos.
Stockpile those Mementos by running Horrific Visions regularly and take some friends to help you survive longer and complete more areas. The more Mementos, the faster you’ll earn your way to fashionable victory!
If you’re chasing that “We Have the Technology” achievement, brace yourself – it’s a grind, but Azeroth isn’t conquered in a day. This one requires you to max out all Titanic Research Archive talents at the Chamber of Heart (coordinates: /way 46.10, 70.06). To unlock every talent, you’ll need to invest a total of 69,600 Corrupted Mementos. Yup, you read that right. That’s a whole hoard of Mementos.
Start by earning Corrupted Mementos in Horrific Visions. Just keep slaying, clearing, and collecting. With each Titanic talent, you get tougher and even cooler abilities, making future Horrific Visions easier. But there’s no skipping steps here. Every talent builds on the last.
Short answer: yes. Long answer: well, kind of. The Black Dragonscale Backpack can be shared across your account, but there’s a catch. Once you buy it, you’ll need to transmog it on the character that purchased it first. Only then will it become available for the rest of your characters to rock. Until then, it’s just an exclusive club for the buyer. But hey, at least you don’t need to go through Wrathion’s hassle every time! Just one purchase, one transmog, and you’re set.
Horrific Visions are, in a word, chaos. They’re instanced zones where you face some of the worst that N’Zoth can throw at you – and he throws a lot. Think twisted versions of Stormwind or Orgrimmar, filled with enemies, corruption, and absolutely no chill. Your goal? Survive as long as possible, complete objectives, and rake in loot and Corrupted Mementos.
Each run brings a chance to improve, with talents from the Titanic Research Archive helping you tough it out and counter the creepy debuffs and sanity-draining madness N’Zoth imposes.
