Prey Hunts are a new activity introduced in the Midnight expansion. This system focuses on solo boss encounters, where you must first track down your target by completing World Quests, discovering treasures, or killing rare enemies. Once ready, you can accept a bounty at the Hunt Table in Astalor’s Sanctum.

You can choose the difficulty of each Prey Hunt, which determines the set of active affixes. The table below shows all available affixes.

Affix	Difficulty	Description
Ambush	Normal	Your target occasionally ambushes you while you are engaged in combat with other enemies, or when you trigger a trap.
Torment	Hard	Astalor’s artifact insidiously torments you, increasing damage taken by 2%. This effect stacks based on your Prey hunt progress.
Hunter’s Momentum	Hard	Dying in this zone will reduce your hunt progress.
Seeping Gore	Hard	While in combat, gore occasionally appears beneath you, inflicting Shadow damage after a short delay.
Echo of Predation	Nightmare	A bloody spirit periodically stalks you, dealing massive Shadow damage on contact.
Bloody Command	Nightmare	Astalor occasionally commands you to kill an enemy, causing you to bleed for massive Physical damage if you fail.
