The Recruit A Friend program lets you invite your friends to join or come back to World of Warcraft. Both you and your friend can get cool stuff. This program works in the Retail version of the game, not in Classic.

How It Works
- Veteran Account — This is your account, the one that invites friends. You get rewards.
- New or Returning Player Account — This is your friend’s account. It’s new or hasn’t been played for a long time. Your friend gets some help but not the big rewards.
Features
- Rewards for Veterans — You can get free game time and fun items.
- Invite Friends Easily — You can send a special link to your friends right from the game.
- Link Up to 10 Friends — You can invite up to 4 friends each month, and have 10 friends connected to your account.
- Game Time Rewards — After getting all the fun items, you earn a free month of game time for every 3 months your friend plays.
- Summoning and Party Sync — You can teleport to your friend and do quests together more easily.

How to Recruit a Friend
To invite a friend, go to the social tab in the game (press ‘O’), make a special link, and send it to your friend. Your friend uses the link to buy the game and start playing.
Getting All the Rewards
You can also open another account for yourself to get all the rewards. Some people do this to get everything fast.

- Mounts Taken Away — Swift Zhevra, X-53 Touring Rocket, Heart of the Nightwing, Emerald Hippogryph, Cindermane Charger.
- Pets Taken Away — Golden Pig, Silver Pig, Jade Tiger, Zipao Tiger.
- Benefits Taken Away — No more giving levels to your friend or getting bonus experience.
There was an older reward track called the Explorer’s Track. It’s gone now, but it had rewards like the Explorer’s Jungle Hopper mount and Renowned Explorer’s Attire.
