Alright Adventurers, did you blink? Because Throne and Liberty’s Patch 2.3.0 already crash-landed a while back, and if you’re just catching up (like us!), you’ve missed some… interesting developments. The dust has settled, changes are live, but the mushroom-induced mayhem is far from over. Let’s recap the current state of chaos and look ahead to the next big event!

Throne And Liberty'S 2.3.0 Shake-Up!

The Fungus Among Us: Giant Cordy is LIVE (and Angry!)

Remember that story about a tiny spore going full kaiju on Mount Snowburn after absorbing magic space rock juice? Well, Giant Cordy is very much real and already stomping around. The first Arch Boss throwdown happened back on April 2nd, but this colossal cap is likely on a recurring schedule. Keep your eyes peeled for announcements or timers signaling the next Giant Cordy Arch Boss battle! This walking ecosystem problem isn’t a one-off event, so prepare your anti-fungal strategies accordingly. You can also now find Cordy’s Fragments from Amitoi Expeditions and Fishing, presumably to annoy him further.

The New Normal: What 2.3.0 Changed (That You’re Experiencing NOW)

If you’ve logged in recently, you’re already living in the post-2.3.0 world. Here’s what’s different:

  • Easier Grouping: Praise the matchmaking gods! Dimensional Trials now have Party Matchmaking. You can actually queue like civilized folk instead of LFG spamming. Plus, they’re dropping Epic Runes and better loot now. Shiny purple goodness!
  • Hall of Illusion Makeover: This place got less brutal in early tiers, bosses hit softer, and there’s even a handy life-steal effect. Umbrakan still wants you dead in Tier 5, but he’s slightly more patient and his Tier 1-4 instant-kill is now just mostly deadly damage. Loot’s better here too, with Epic Runes and shots at Nebula Island bling.
  • Cloak-and-Dagger Arena: Enjoying the Victory Rewards (Tier 2 Tokens!) and the new Arena Coins: Flames? Hope you spent your old ones before they poofed! The big twist you’re seeing now is the ANONYMOUS opponents during matches. Who is that landing perfect shots? Adds a certain je ne sais quoi to getting wrecked, eh?
  • Bosses on the Clock: Dominion Field Bosses now get tired after 20 minutes and start losing HP (down to 10%). Arch Boss prep time is a brisk 1 minute. Guilds get priority matchmaking for portals. Efficiency!

Class Adjustments & QoL Hits (The Stuff That’s Live):

  • Longbow Lovers Still Feasting: If you main Longbow, you’re likely still enjoying those significant PvE damage buffs across multiple skills. Deadly Marker’s no-stack/no-evade change is also current reality.
  • Wands Go Boom (Better): Curse Explosion should be hitting its mark more reliably now. Less whiffing, more winning!
  • The Little Things: Material Transmutation gives Tier 2 gear now. That floaty piton is grounded. You can use Carp in fish grills. Fear has numbers. Tooltips are clearer. Potion/Food stacks are YUGE. All poultry underwent an existential crisis and is now “Bland Meat.” Tab-Targeting is… still being hopefully improved by NCSoft’s ongoing quest. And the UI got a bunch of welcome tidy-ups.

So, What Now?

Patch 2.3.0 definitely stirred the pot! While the initial shockwave has passed, the changes are impacting daily play. Keep farming those new Arena Flames, enjoy the smoother group finding, maybe poke around the easier Hall of Illusion tiers, and most importantly: get ready for the next Giant Cordy fungal fiesta! Check those boss timers and prepare for another round with the big mushroom! Good luck out there in the (slightly less buggy, arguably more rewarding) world of Solisium!
