Updated October 4, 2026 for Midnight Season 2 (Patch 12.1). The tiers combine the current Mythic+ rankings and change with each class tuning pass.

Holy Paladin pairs priority-target healing with one of the best group utility kits, while Restoration Shaman leans on an incredible healing profile and party-wide buffs. Below the top two, the middle of the field is decided by dispel coverage, external cooldowns and how much damage a healer can add while keeping the group alive.

Mythic+ Healer Tier List for Midnight Season 2

TierSpecs
SHoly Paladin (up from B), Restoration Shaman
APreservation Evoker (up from B), Mistweaver Monk
BRestoration Druid (down from A), Holy Priest (up from C), Discipline Priest (down from S)

S Tier

These specs combine top-end healing output with the utility and survivability a group needs at the highest key levels.

Holy Paladin

Holy Paladin's priority-target healing is among the best available, backed by a group-wide utility kit that includes Devotion Aura, Lay on Hands, Intercession and the blessings. The Season 2 tier set raises the cost of Holy Light but guarantees the cast procs Infusion of Light, letting the spec pump out high-powered Flash of Lights and handle bursty damage alongside Beacon of Virtue. Shield of the Righteous regenerates a solid amount of mana, so dealing damage during downtime keeps the resource flowing. The only weak point of the spec is its damage, and at present Lightsmith is the hero talent that deals more damage, while Herald of the Sun is the choice that heals more.

Restoration Shaman

Restoration Shaman's healing profile is absolutely incredible, which is the main reason it sits this high, and the spec always has a home in physical compositions thanks to Skyfury and easy access to Bloodlust. Among all healers, its damage is now regarded as one of the lowest, and that can waste precious time in keys. Season 2 pushes more of the spec's value into Healing Rain, and the new tier set further bolsters that core ability, though ranged players who stand outside the rain do not benefit. Totemic is the stronger hero talent overall, with Farseer offering better single-target healing after a run of buffs during the Season 2 PTR.

A Tier

These specs are excellent choices for elite-level keys, with strong throughput offset by a narrower utility profile or a specific healing weakness.

Preservation Evoker

Preservation Evoker has one of the highest healing profiles in Mythic+ when all conditions are met, with positioning the most important of them, and its damage output is just as high as its healing. Season 2 changes shift power out of Merithra's Blessing into core abilities and significantly increase Dream Breath's healing over time, which helps in rot-damage situations. The spec remains one of the few healers without an impactful group-wide buff, so if Augmentation Evoker becomes a top pick, Preservation may be passed over for a healer with different group utility. It also needs heavier setup than other healers, and mistakes there can leave you without the resource needed to heal.

Mistweaver Monk

Mistweaver Monk has good current performance and a great damage output, but it struggles in heavy healing-check situations, and its healing has been hit repeatedly. Season 2 brings nerfs to Way of the Crane that change the playstyle depending on mob count, alongside a buff to Jadefire Teachings. The spec suits rot and ticking-damage encounters, since Way of the Crane and Jadefire Teachings turn damage into consistent healing while Mistline and Rising Mist improve Renewing Mist uptime. It excels in physical compositions where Mystic Touch shines, and slots well with Bear and physical damage setups.

B Tier

These specs are reliable and provide sufficient healing and helpful cooldowns to benefit the team, but every one of them is missing something in output, crowd control or throughput that the higher tiers possess.

Restoration Druid

Restoration Druid's unique utility always fits group content, especially in a season where Poison and Curse dispels are needed, and repeated minor buffs have pushed it up the rankings. Most of its Season 2 changes were negative, including a nerf to Abundance and the loss of healing-over-time extension from Swiftmend. Its heal-over-time and Regrowth output feel significantly weakened against the larger health pools and increased creature damage of Season 2, and the spec leans harder on Convoke the Spirits and Tranquility for big damage spikes. It still brings excellent crowd control, Poison and Curse dispels, and Mark of the Wild, but it sits in a weak position relative to its peers.

Holy Priest

In Season 2, Holy Priest gets fixes for its mana problems, including a lower mana cost for Benediction and improvements to Apotheosis, along with increased healing. The core rotation stays largely unchanged, and mana remains a limiting factor if cooldowns cannot be planned around high damage intake windows. Ultimate Serenity keeps playing a large role, letting Holy Word: Serenity cleave onto allies at the cost of Holy Word: Sanctify, and Oracle looks like the stronger hero talent with Lasting Words maintaining Renew. The spec struggles without a kick or meaningful crowd control, has poor survivability compared to its peers, and relies on Mass Dispel for situations with multiple magic debuffs.

Discipline Priest

Discipline Priest gets a minor facelift for Season 2: Mind Blast becomes more frequent but less individually heavy, now procs a Void Shield, and both hero talents perform fairly close in overall power, putting Voidweaver back in play. Its healing profile is decent, but its damage output is the standout, especially on single target, often doubling other healers' damage. Mana management may need optimization, and the spec keeps its unique party-wide utility, which is often among the most desirable in Mythic+. With 12.1, shields play a massive role through tier set bonuses that guarantee Void Shield procs from Mind Blast, Atonement covers around a third of healing, and Penance is cast entirely offensively. The high amount of Poison dispels required this season is a major downside, since Priest cannot deal with them.

Biggest Changes in Patch 12.1

Season 2's dungeon pool leans heavily on Poison dispels, so specs that reliably bring them are in a much stronger position, and the increase in player health and creature damage makes mana efficiency particularly important. Mistweaver Monk took multiple nerfs relative to its Season 1 strength, with Jadefire Teachings buffed while Way of the Crane healing was reduced over several rounds. Restoration Druid lost Swiftmend's heal-over-time extension and saw Abundance capped and nerfed, making Regrowth feel far less effective. Discipline Priest's tier set guarantees Void Shield procs from Mind Blast, and Evangelism now also activates Archangel for much larger shields.

If you would rather have the dungeon and raid work handled for you, an Midnight Mythic +0 Dungeons Boost takes the runs off your hands.
