The Keystone Myth 3600 rating is the Mythic+ score you need for the Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 achievement, which returns with Patch 12.1.5. Season 1 asked for 3,400 score, so the bar has moved up by 200 points. In practice that means more than half the dungeons in the Season 2 pool timed at +18 or higher on average, instead of the flat +16s that were enough last season.

What the 3600 Rating Achievement Requires
Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 is earned by attaining a Mythic+ rating of at least 3600 during Midnight Season 2. The achievement comes with the "the Venomous Contender" title and a Timelost Saddle. The Timelost Saddle lets you choose a mount from a list.
The achievement is tied to Patch 12.1.5, which is when it becomes available. Blizzard's stated goal for Keystone Myth is to offer a meaningful challenge during the second half of each season, with a rating requirement that reflects dungeon difficulty and gear progression. The same patch brings targeted dungeon tuning adjustments to address difficulty outliers in the current dungeon pool.
3600 vs 3400: What Changed From Season 1
| Season | Keystone Myth rating | Key level needed |
| Midnight Season 1 | 3400 | Flat +16s |
| Midnight Season 2 | 3600 | More than half the dungeons at +18 on average |
Keystone Myth was introduced in Midnight Season 1 to push players into higher keystones. Season 2 raises the requirement to 3600 and, with it, the average key level you have to clear.
Season 2 Dungeon Pool
Season 2 brings a new three-boss dungeon, the four Midnight dungeons that were not in Season 1, and three legacy dungeons. King's Rest and Temple of Sethraliss return from Battle for Azeroth, and Ruby Life Pools returns from Dragonflight.
- Altar of Fangs
- Murder Row
- Den of Nalorakk
- The Blinding Vale
- Voidscar Arena
- King's Rest
- Temple of Sethraliss
- Ruby Life Pools
Season 2 Dungeon Timers
Timing a dungeon is what grants full loot from the end-of-run chest, and completing it within the timer grants full Mythic+ rating, so the timer is the number that decides whether a run counts toward your 3600. These timers were based on the PTR and could have changed before the patch launched.
| Dungeon | Timer |
| Altar of Fangs | 30:00 |
| Murder Row | 34:00 |
| Den of Nalorakk | 32:00 |
| The Blinding Vale | 31:00 |
| Voidscar Arena | 30:00 |
| King's Rest | 33:00 |
| Temple of Sethraliss | 33:00 |
| Ruby Life Pools | 28:00 |
Affixes You Push Through
Affixes are added or replaced up to Keystone level 12. From Keystone levels 2-5 you get Lindormi's Guidance, which highlights and weakens certain enemies with Temporal Sands for 5% reduced Health and Damage Done and removes the death penalty. At Keystone level 6 Lindormi's Guidance is removed; tanks can still pick up Lindormi's Glow from Lindormi near The Timeways portal in Silvermoon City or at the end of a Keystone Dungeon to keep enemies highlighted, but they will not be weakened.
At Keystone level 5, Xal'atath's Bargain becomes active and rotates weekly between four affixes. At Keystone level 12 and above, Xal'atath's Bargain is replaced, and deaths subtract 15 seconds from the remaining time up until the last minute.

Gear and Rating Above +12
Gear drops from Mythic+ are capped at Keystone level 12, so pushing past +12 is largely about earning additional Mythic+ rating, Resilient Keystones, or certain achievements. For gearing, many players run +10 Keystones for drops and Great Vault rewards, while +12 removes the Bargain affixes if you want a cleaner run.
At the end of a Mythic+ dungeon you can earn gear based on the keystone level completed:
| Keystone Level | End of Dungeon | Great Vault Bonus Rolls |
| 2 | 295 Champion 2/6 | 305 Hero 1/6 |
| 5 | 302 Champion 4/6 | 308 |
| 6 | 305 Hero 1/6 | 311 Hero 3/6 |
| 7 | 305 Hero 1/6 | 315 Hero 4/6 |
| 10 | 311 Hero 3/6 | 318 Myth 1/6 |
| 12+ | 311 Hero 3/6 | 318 Myth 1/6 |
Resilient Keystones
Timing all Midnight: Season 2 Mythic+ dungeons at Keystone level 12 or higher earns the Midnight Season 2: Resilient Keystone 12 achievement, which stops your keystone from dropping below 12 when you deplete a dungeon. You can still lower your keystone manually by talking to Lindormi in Silvermoon City. There is an achievement for every keystone level starting at +12, so timing all dungeons at +13 keeps your keystone from dropping below 13, and so on.
Other Season 2 Rating Milestones
Reaching rating milestones during Season 2 rewards an achievement and a special reward:
- Midnight Keystone Conqueror: Season 2 — 1500 rating
- Midnight Keystone Master: Season 2 / Midnight Season 2: Serpent Scion — 2000 rating, Breath of Blight
- Midnight Keystone Legend: Season 2 — 3000 rating, Breath of Ruin
- Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 — 3600 rating, Timelost Saddle
Season 2 Start and Key Dates
Heroic and Mythic 0 difficulties opened the week of August 11, with Mythic 0 on a weekly lockout dropping 292 champion-track gear. The Mythic+ season began the week of August 18, when the Mythic 0 lockout became daily and still dropped 292 champion-track gear. Blizzard's own outline put the start of Season 2 at maintenance the week of August 19, when players began earning Mythic Keystones and Mythic+ difficulties became available.
