Delves in WoW Midnight are short, 10–15 minute scenarios you can run solo or with up to five players, and they count toward your Great Vault. With the 12.1.5 content update on October 13, the game adds Labyrinths — sprawling, mega-dungeon-like Delve experiences built to be cleared at your own pace. The first one, the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, is a nine-chamber gauntlet with a Tier 11 solo challenge and Mythic gear.

What Delves are in Midnight

Delves are role-agnostic, so any character can complete them, and they run across 11 tiers of difficulty. Each Delve is marked on your map with a cave icon, and the UI lists your objectives and the rewards waiting at the end. Midnight has 13 Delves in total, one of which is a Delve Labyrinth.

Bountiful Delves and keys

Bountiful Delves have glowing icons and hold Bountiful Coffers at the end, opened with Restored Coffer Keys made from Coffer Key Shards earned in world activities and quests. Bountiful Delves are rerolled on the daily reset, and a timer shows when the next one becomes Bountiful.

Always run Bountiful Delves over regular ones: non-Bountiful Delves stop scaling rewards past Tier 3, and end-of-run loot is capped at Tier 3 as well. For Tier 4 and above, go in only while the Delve is Bountiful and you have keys to spend.

Tier 1 is the easiest and Tier 11 the hardest. To unlock Tier 4 and above you need the Midnight Delves: Endgame achievement on at least one character, and tiers unlock account-wide — clearing one Delve at Tier 7 unlocks Tier 8 for all of them.

Delve rewards and the Great Vault

Loot scales only up to Tier 8; Tiers 9–11 exist for crests, though Tier 11 Bountiful Coffers can also provide Hero equipment. Completing 2, 4 or 8 Delves unlocks Great Vault slots the following week, and running 8 Tier 8 Delves is the way to aim for Hero-track gear in your vault.

Once a week you can loot a Delver's Bounty, with the best chance coming from Azta'rec, the Season 2 Delve nemesis — bring him to 50% and he spawns a gold pile holding the Bounty. Using a Delver's Bounty map in the same run adds a Hidden Trove at the end that scales with your Delve tier. You can summon Azta'rec yourself with the Scalebound Herald's Flute, bought from Naleidea Rivergleam at the Delver's Headquarters in Silvermoon for 5,000 Undercoins.

At Tier 4 and above, Azta'rec's allies appear as Ula'tek's Chosen, elite mobs tougher than the regular enemies in the run.

Crests from Tier 11 Delves

Finish a Tier 11 Bountiful Delve with lives remaining and you get a Gilded Stash containing 7 Myth Mistcrests. You can do this up to 3 times a week for 21 Myth Mistcrests total, and the stashes do not need Restored Coffer Keys to open. This unlocks at Rank 4 of the Season 2 Delver's Journey.

Boons, blessings and rare elites

Boons come from Mislaid Curiosities found on the ground and give temporary stat buffs for the current Delve: Boon of Abstinence raises your lowest secondary stat, Boon of Fortitude reduces damage taken, Boon of Possibilities raises a random secondary stat, and Boon of Vigor increases maximum health and movement speed.

Blessings come from the chests at the end of a Delve and last 24 hours or until your next Delve, applying only inside Delves: Blessing of Zeal adds a chance for your abilities to explode for Fire damage, Blessing of Potency raises all stats by 10%, and Crimson Blessing grants an extra Delve life.

Rare Elites are marked on your map and grant you or Valeera a buff for the rest of the run. Season 2 has four possible powers and which one you get is random, with more than one Rare Elite able to appear in a Delve at once.

Valeera Sanguinar, your Delve companion

Valeera Sanguinar is your Delve companion throughout Midnight, with a customizable role and curios you can tailor to your playstyle. She also accompanies you into the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan. If you want the tier requirements for that content handled for you, a WoW Delves Tier Unlock Boost takes the unlocking work off your hands.

The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan

Labyrinths are the long-form Delve mode added in 12.1.5, with a dedicated progression system, unlocks and rewards matching the scale of the challenge, including Mythic gear. You can run one in a single session or one wing at a time, and each extra room you clear brings more treasure and more risk.

The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan is an ancient Amani funeral complex, sealed for centuries and now reopened, where looters and Vilebranch hunt relics while the interred spirits defend it. It has nine chambers and 11 difficulty levels like regular Delves.

Getting to the Labyrinth

The entrance sits in the south east of Eversong Woods, near the border with Zul'Aman, at /way #2395 63.05 72.30. Progress the campaign and accept "The Long Way Around", which leads to Liadrin above Thresh Cove, or travel straight to Tokka's Landing on the Coiled Isle and take "The Labyrinth" from Kul'amara the Fierce. Follow the questline to Valeera Sanguinar at the entrance and accept "Dangers Untold and Hardships Unnumbered", then complete the Chamber of Rites and speak with Kinduru to unlock the remaining chambers. Once done, the full Labyrinth is open to you and your Warband.

Labyrinth rewards

Rewards scale with every room you clear, adding Heavy Trunks and Bountiful Coffers at the end of the run. Bountiful Coffers inside the Labyrinth need Bountiful Coffer Keys to open.

Rooms clearedRewards
11 Heavy Trunk
32 Heavy Trunks & 1 Bountiful Coffer
64 Heavy Trunks & 2 Bountiful Coffers
96 Heavy Trunks & 3 Bountiful Coffers

Bountiful Coffers can contain a Heroic Soul Fragment, and combining 3 gives you a random Hero 2/6 piece of Delve gear — a solid start for gearing alts. Mythical Soul Fragments come from quests inside the Labyrinth, and combining 3 grants a Venerated Loa Armament you can use to pick a piece of Myth track armor.

Rooms also count toward your Great Vault at the difficulty you run, with 3 rooms counting as progress, so a 9-chamber run counts as three Delves at that tier.

Kindo'jan, the final boss

Kindo'jan is the Labyrinth's boss and plays more like a Nemesis fight than a normal Delve boss, so expect several attempts. You must clear a route to Akil'zon's Roost before you can reach him.

Labyrinth achievements

  • Knock Knock: Enter the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan.

Ascendant Venomstones from Delves

Ascendant Venomstones are the Season 2 mid-season power upgrade, and Tier 11 Bountiful Delves are one of the sources that drop them, alongside Heroic and Mythic raid bosses, Mythic+ Keystone dungeons at +10 and above, and Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests. Collect 10 and use them near the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to raise the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero, Myth, or maximum-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket or necklace. Orin Straylight offers the "Ancient Depths, Ancient Venom" quest during the week of October 13, and finishes his research on Venomstones during the week of October 20.

Weekly Delves quest

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver in Silvermoon offers the weekly quest A Call to Delves, which asks you to complete 5 Delves for one piece of item level 246 Champion 1/6 gear. The Delver's Headquarters in central Silvermoon City is the expansion's Delves hub and vendor location, and Valeera has her base there.
