Updated October 21, 2026 for Midnight.
The expansion features five distinct instances across its early patches, testing groups against cosmic Void horrors, corrupted wild gods, and ancient troll abominations. Players tackling wow midnight raids face a multi-instance structure in Season 1 consisting of The Voidspire, The Dreamrift, March on Quel'Danas, and Sporefall, followed by the eight-boss Venomous Abyss in Season 2 and a focused encounter in The Unbinding of Kith'ix.

Season 1 divides its progression across four separate raid instances scattered throughout the new zones, featuring 10 bosses in total.

Midnight Raid Loot and Rules
All raid instances enforce Group Loot as the sole distribution method, removing the option for Personal Loot entirely outside of select trade skill reagents. Additionally, item-level restrictions on trading between eligible group members inside the instance are completely removed, allowing rings, necklaces, and other non-upgraded pieces to be traded freely.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Story Mode work in Midnight raids?
Story Mode provides narrative-focused access for non-raiders to view raid conclusions without needing a full raid team. The Voidspire requires finishing the "Foothold" questline and then Charge of the Vanguard, The Venomous Abyss requires the "Curse of Ula'tek" questline, while March on Quel'Danas has no prerequisite quests and allows direct queueing via Tactical Telemancer Seralia outside the entrance.
What is Mythic Flex in Sporefall?
Mythic Flex is an instance format that removes the standard 20-player hard cap on Mythic difficulty, allowing dynamic raid sizes between 15 and 25 players to challenge the Rotmire encounter.
