This TBC First Aid guide runs the whole 1-375 climb on Anniversary realms through bandages alone: Linen to 80, Wool to 150, Silk to 210, Mageweave to 260, Runecloth to 330, then Netherweave to the cap. The early ranks come from trainers, while the later route depends on the first three manuals from a faction vendor, the Triage quest at 225 and a Hellfire Peninsula vendor for the Master book and Netherweave manuals. Buying materials for the priced 1-375 route costs 71g 71s on US realms and 60g 74s on EU realms at the scan prices.

Why level First Aid
Since First Aid counts as a secondary profession—there are three in total—it does not use either of your two primary profession slots, and you can learn it at the same time as them. Bandages are a heal that costs no mana and any class can use, which cuts downtime between kills while leveling and matters most for melee classes with no heal of their own.
In PvP and raiding a bandage can save you outright or take pressure off a healer during a movement phase.
How bandages work
A bandage is a heal over time that you channel on yourself or a nearby ally, and any damage the target takes stops the channel completely. Once someone has been bandaged, the Recently Bandaged debuff blocks further bandages on that target for 60 seconds.
At 375 skill the Heavy Netherweave Bandage is the top bandage and costs no mana.
First Aid trainers and manuals
Apprentice and Journeyman First Aid come from any First Aid trainer in a capital city; ask a city guard for the profession trainer and the spot is marked on your map. Trainers teach the early ranks and Silk Bandage, but you need Expert First Aid – Under Wraps to train past 150, and the later upgrades come from books or quest NPCs.
- Arnok: Orgrimmar
- Mary Edras: Undercity
- Pand Stonebinder: Thunder Bluff
- Alestus: Silvermoon City
- Shaina Fuller: Stormwind
- Nissa Firestone: Ironforge
- Nus: The Exodar
To pass 150 you need Expert First Aid – Under Wraps, sold by Deneb Walker in Arathi Highlands at 27.0, 58.8 for Alliance and Balai Lok'Wein in Dustwallow Marsh at 36.4, 30.4 for Horde. The same vendor sells Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage, so buy all three in one trip.
Artisan First Aid comes from the Triage quest at 225 skill. Past 225, Mageweave Bandages carry you to 240, then the quest NPC teaches Heavy Mageweave at 240, Runecloth Bandage at 260 and Heavy Runecloth Bandage at 290. You learn Runecloth Bandage at 260 from Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen for Alliance or Doctor Gregory Victor for Horde.
| Manual | Skill required | Cost |
| Expert First Aid – Under Wraps | 125 | 1 gold |
| Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage | 180 | 22 silver |
| Manual: Mageweave Bandage | 210 | 50 silver |
Past 300 you need Master First Aid – Doctor in the House from Burko for Alliance at the Temple of Telhamat in Hellfire Peninsula (22.4, 39.2) or Aresella for Horde at Falcon Watch (26.2, 62.0). Both sell Manual: Netherweave Bandage and Manual: Heavy Netherweave Bandage as well, and none of the three needs a return trip later.
| Manual | Skill required | Cost |
| Master First Aid – Doctor in the House | 300 | 5 gold |
| Manual: Netherweave Bandage | 330 | 2 gold |
| Manual: Heavy Netherweave Bandage | 360 | 4 gold |
If you prefer to pay instead of traveling, every one of these books is available to buy or sell through the auction house.

The Triage quest at 225
You need 225 First Aid and character level 35 to pick it up. For the Alliance, it begins with Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen, who is on Theramore Isle in Dustwallow Marsh, inside the main keep and not the tower; for the Horde, it begins with Doctor Gregory Victor, who is in Hammerfall, at the first building to your left when you enter.
The goal is to save 15 patients with no more than 6 deaths. Patients are Injured, Badly Injured or Critically Injured, and you bandage the worst cases first. Use the Triage Bandages the doctor hands you, never your own.
- Turn the quest in the moment you reach 15 saved; waiting can let deaths turn a completed quest into a failed one.
- Press Ctrl+V to show health bars over the patients and pull the camera out so you can see the whole room.
- Put the Triage Bandage on your action bar, stand in the middle of the room, and pre-select the next patient while your current bandage is still casting.
Bring your Mageweave and Runecloth with you, because the same NPC teaches the 240, 260 and 290 recipes right after the quest.

| Netherweave Bandage | 2,800 over 8 sec | 330 |

Heavy Netherweave Bandages stack to 20. Once you are farming Netherweave in Outland, Heavy Netherweave Bandages should be the ones in your bags.

The priced route crafts Runecloth Bandage straight from 260 to 300 instead of splitting that range with Heavy Runecloth Bandage. Mageweave Cloth is the largest single material bill on US, 92 units at 22s 65c each for 20g 83s. On EU the top material is Netherweave Cloth, 78 units at 21s 95c each for 17g 12s.
These costs are for materials bought at the auction house at the prices of the US scan of October 30, 2026 and the EU scan of October 31, 2026. Cloth you gather yourself costs no gold, and prices differ from realm to realm. Because the number of crafts is based on the skill colours shown for the recipe in the game client, a guide's own count may be slightly above or below it.
If you would rather skip the farming and the vendor runs entirely, a TBC Anniversary First Aid Boost takes the whole 1-375 climb off your hands. If you are also pushing your two primary professions, the TBC Alchemy Leveling Guide 1-375: Anniversary Realms and the TBC Engineering Guide 1-375: Leveling Path & Materials cover those routes.
