Updated October 20, 2026 for the run-up to the WoW Forever launch on November 4, 2026. Written from the beta; details can change at launch.

This wow forever first aid guide covers leveling from 1 to 300 using healing potions from 1 to 150 and standard cloth bandages from 150 to 300. First Aid remains a secondary profession that any character can learn without taking up a primary profession slot. Taught through capital trainers, regional vendor manuals, and an Artisan triage quest, the skill introduces healing potions, campfire stat buffs, and cleanses for poisons, diseases, and bleeds.

First Aid rank requirements

You must raise your tradeskill cap before you reach each tier's limit, as crafting at cap grants no further skill points.

If you want the profession leveled without collecting trade goods, the WoW Forever First Aid Boost can take the crafting off your hands.

Apprentice and Journeyman trainers (1-150)

Trainers in capital cities and early quest hubs teach both Apprentice and Journeyman ranks, along with basic bandage and potion recipes.

Alliance trainers

Horde trainers

  • Arnok: Valley of Spirits, Orgrimmar (/way 34.0 84.4)
  • Mary Edras: Rogues' Quarter, Undercity (/way 73.6 55.6)
  • Pand Stonebinder: Spirit Rise, Thunder Bluff (/way 29.6 21.4)
  • Rawrk: Razor Hill, Durotar (/way 54.0 42.0)
  • Nurse Neela: Brill, Tirisfal Glades (/way 61.8 52.8)
  • Vira Younghoof: Bloodhoof Village, Mulgore (/way 46.8 60.8)

Neutral trainers

  • Naleeia Tattermend: Shen'dar Village, Zephras Isle (/way 43.0 46.2)
  • Melasa Fairmend: Valanaar, Zephras Isle (/way 63.0 72.6)

Expert First Aid (150-225)

Expert First Aid is taught by reading Expert First Aid – Under Wraps, which requires 125 First Aid. The manual is sold by faction vendors for 1 gold and can also be resold on the Auction House. One creator noted auction prices sitting around 1 gold 7 silver during testing.

Alliance players buy the book from Deneb Walker in Stromgarde Keep, Arathi Highlands (/way 27.0 58.8). Horde players buy it from Balai Lok'Wein in Brackenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh (/way 36.4 30.4). During the same trip, buy Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage, which you read at skill 180 and 210.

Artisan First Aid and Triage quest (225-300)

Reaching Artisan requires character level 35, 225 First Aid, and completing the Triage quest. Optional breadcrumb quests include Alliance Trauma from Nissa Firestone in Ironforge and Horde Trauma from Arnok in Orgrimmar.

Alliance characters take Triage from Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Foothold Citadel, Theramore Isle (/way 67.6 48.8). Horde characters take Triage from Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands (/way 73.4 36.8).

The quest provides Triage Bandages to save 15 patients before 6 die. Enable friendly nameplates to track health bars, prioritize Critically Injured patients over Badly Injured and Injured, and let each channel complete before healing the next target. Once Artisan is unlocked, return to the same doctor to learn Heavy Mageweave Bandage at skill 240, Runecloth Bandage at 260, and Heavy Runecloth Bandage at 290.

Bandage leveling path (1-300)

Crafting bandages serves as the standard path through cloth drops. Early cloth collecting feels much smoother with the tailoring Scavenging perk, in one player's runs.

  • 1 to 40: Linen Bandage, using roughly 45 to 50 Linen Cloth. One creator used 170 Linen Cloth to reach 80 across both tiers.
  • 40 to 80: Heavy Linen Bandage, using roughly 130 to 140 Linen Cloth.
  • 80 to 115: Wool Bandage, using roughly 50 to 55 Wool Cloth.
  • 115 to 150: Heavy Wool Bandage, using roughly 100 to 110 Wool Cloth. One creator estimated 180 Wool Cloth total for 80 to 150.
  • 150 to 180: Silk Bandage, using roughly 45 to 50 Silk Cloth.
  • 180 to 210: Heavy Silk Bandage, using roughly 90 to 100 Silk Cloth.
  • 210 to 225: Mageweave Bandage, using roughly 20 to 25 Mageweave Cloth.
  • 240 to 260: Heavy Mageweave Bandage, using roughly 50 to 60 Mageweave Cloth.
  • 260 to 290: Runecloth Bandage, using roughly 45 to 50 Runecloth. One creator used 80 Runecloth across both final tiers.
  • 290 to 300: Heavy Runecloth Bandage, using roughly 30 Runecloth.

"I feel like bandages should heal more out of combat." said one player regarding their utility on hybrid classes.

Alternative potion path (1-150)

First Aid can craft healing potions using vials, spices, and gathered herbs. Standard healing potions require only 1 herb and vendor spices instead of multiple herbs. First Aid potion crafting is pointless because it still relies on gathered herbs, argue a few players.

  • 1 to 75: Minor Healing Potion, using roughly 85 Peacebloom, 85 Empty Vials, and 85 Mild Spices.
  • 75 to 110: Lesser Healing Potion, using roughly 50 Briarthorn, 50 Empty Vials, and 100 Mild Spices.
  • 110 to 150: Healing Potion, using roughly 45 Bruiseweed, 45 Leaded Vials, and 45 Hot Spices.

After skill 150, players transition back into Silk Bandages. You can review raw resource gathering in our WoW Forever Gold Farming Guide before stocking up on herbs or cloth.

Curatives and campfire kits

Tourniquets remove bleed debuffs, poultices cleanse diseases, and anti-venoms cure poisons. Tourniquets and poultices function only outside combat and share a 1-minute cooldown, while anti-venom can be used directly during combat. Removing diseases through First Aid is especially valuable for warriors who lack native cleanses, note a few players.

First Aid also crafts outdoor campfire structures with a 1-hour shared cooldown. Placing a First Aid Kit, Toxin Study, or Plague Doctor's Laboratory grants a stamina boost that scales with level, reaching up to +56 by level 60. This bonus does not stack with Priest Power Word: Fortitude.
