Aqir Invasions are hourly, zone-wide public events in Eversong or Zul'Aman, and this Aqir Invasion event guide covers the ten-minute scenario window, the Aqir Monstrosity, the six scenarios, the eight combat affixes and the vendor. Be in the invaded zone on the hour, clear objectives for ten minutes, then help bring down the Monstrosity. The payoff is Voidlight Marl, a weekly Aqir Research Satchel and tokens you trade in for renown catch-up.
When Aqir Invasions start
An invasion starts every hour at the top of the hour, and the zone-wide scenario phase runs for the first 10 minutes. When that window closes, the Aqir Monstrosity spawns and players have 10 minutes to kill it, so the invasion dissipates at xx:20.
Objectives appear one at a time and are replaced as champions finish them, so you keep moving across the zone until the timer runs out.
Where the invasion is
The event rotates between Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman, switching zone each week. Open your world map and look for the insect icon to see which of the two is currently under attack.
The whole zone is the play area, so you fly between objectives rather than holding a single camp.
How to join an invasion
No introduction quest is required, so getting involved is only a matter of travelling to the right zone.
- Open the world map and find the insect icon in Eversong Woods or Zul'Aman.
- Get to that zone before the hour turns.
- Follow the active objective marker and fill its bar before the next one starts.
- Stay for the Aqir Monstrosity that spawns when the ten minutes end and kill it before xx:20.
Joining is the part of this Aqir Invasion event guide players overthink: show up during the window and chase the objectives that pop up around you. Fast groups finish four or five objectives before the boss, and a few objective types are badly tuned for bar completion and can eat half the window on their own.
The Aqir Monstrosity and the Research Satchel
The Monstrosity spawns on its own once the scenario phase ends and appears on the world map as the insect icon ringed by a silver dragon rare border. The first Monstrosity kill each week drops an Aqir Research Satchel holding a piece of Champion equipment, Coffer Key Shards, a Champion Mistcrest, a Hero Mistcrest, Voidlight Marl and gold.
Every Monstrosity kill also grants Aqir Research Enclave reputation, not just the first.
The six scenarios
Each invasion uses six scenario types, three built around combat and three that are not. The objective list is Disrupt Aqir, Aid Defenders!, Aqir Nesting Grounds, Whack the Aqir, Aerial Assault and Reinforce Defenses, and only one is active at any moment.
The aerial objective is the rarest of the six, so some players finish the reputation grind without ever seeing it.
The eight combat affixes
Combat scenarios can carry one of eight possible affixes.
- Void Protection: an Aqir Voidweaver can appear and shield all nearby Aqir.
- Aqir Burrower: several Aqir burrow aggressively through the area and knock anyone close into the sky.
- Void Sphere: Void Spheres roam the area trying to trap players inside them.
- Astalor's Anguish: Anguish Crystals damage both the Aqir and any adventurers caught in the blast.
- Swarms!: every Aqir enemy is replaced by smaller swarms of Aqir.
- Aqir Elites: every Aqir enemy is replaced by fewer but more powerful Aqir.
- Void Infestation: some Aqir are void-infested and explode a few seconds into combat, damaging players and infecting other Aqir.
- Web Weavers: an Aqir Webweaver can spawn and, if its channel is not interrupted, covers a player in webs.
Aqir Research Enclave reputation
The Enclave is a subsection of the Silvermoon Court renown and uses the standard Neutral-to-Exalted ladder at reduced values rather than renown ranks. Completing an invasion grants 35 reputation, killing the Monstrosity grants 100, and flying through the Aqir mobs hovering over the invasion area grants 1 each.
| Rank | Reputation for the rank | Total |
| Neutral | 500 | 500 |
| Friendly | 1,000 | 1,500 |
| Honored | 1,500 | 3,000 |
| Revered | 2,000 | 5,000 |
Hitting the Monstrosity more than once in a single invasion pays: players hop shards to land several kills and bank 300–400 reputation from a lucky invasion. One player counted roughly 20 invasions to finish the whole grind.
Weekly token exchange for renown
The first two Aqir Monstrosity kills each week each grant an Aqir Research Token. Turn tokens in to Matildeux Osril in Falconwing Square in Silvermoon City, at /way #2393 39.4 80.4.
Each token buys one voucher for a Midnight renown, and you choose which reputation the voucher goes to. A voucher for Zul'jarra's Forces grants 1,250 reputation. Vouchers are not available for the Silvermoon Court sub-factions — Blood Knights, Farstriders, Magisters and Shades of the Row — nor for Captain Tooka or the Aqir Research Enclave.
Aqir Invasion vendor and rewards
Objectives pay out mainly in Voidlight Marl, the currency the invasion vendors accept. Estelia Archtender sells the Aqir-themed cosmetics — housing decor, battle pets, a mount and a toy — with most purchases gated behind Enclave reputation.

Achievements
Four achievements hang off the event, and completing the first three finishes the meta.
- Bane of the Swarm: the meta-achievement, rewarding the Bane of the Swarm title.
- Aqir Research Associate: reach Exalted with the Aqir Research Enclave.
- No Hives Left Standing: complete each Aqir Invasion scenario once.
- Driving Back the Swarm: to finish this, kill the Aqir Monstrosity at the conclusion of each event and complete 10 Aqir Invasions.
They are flagged as Feats of Strength because the event is temporary.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the invasion bosses count for No Hives Left Standing?
No. Only the pre-boss scenario events count toward the achievement for completing each scenario type, and which boss you get does not matter.
Do all six scenarios appear in both zones?
Yes. All six scenario types can come up in Zul'Aman and should equally appear in Eversong Woods — the zone rotation does not change the objective pool.
