Updated October 20, 2026 for Midnight.

Heritage armor sets are cosmetic, account-wide appearances designed for specific playable races. Unlocking an allied race set requires leveling a character of that race to level 50, while core races earn theirs by reaching level 50 and completing a racial questline. In Midnight, the Haranir join the allied race roster with their own dedicated heritage set.

If you want to bypass the leveling grind across different factions, you can pick up a Heritage Armor Set Boost to secure the achievements and appearances quickly.

General Unlock Rules

Cosmetic heritage sets can be transmogrified over any armor class, from cloth to plate. Once acquired, any character on your account that belongs to that specific race can apply the appearance.

Allied races must follow strict leveling restrictions:

  • You must level the allied race character to 50.
  • Using a Character Boost, Race Change, or Faction Change no longer disqualifies that character.
  • The Welcome Back Gift gear update does not disqualify an allied race.
  • Upon reaching level 50, a quest directs you to your racial representative to receive the armor.

Core races face fewer restrictions:

  • Reach level 50 on the corresponding race.
  • Complete the race's specific heritage questline.
  • Core races no longer require Exalted reputation with their home faction.

How to Get Haranir Heritage Armor

Midnight introduces the Haranir, an allied race native to the bioluminescent fungal forests of Harandar. You unlock the Haranir allied race by completing the Midnight level-up campaign storylines.

To obtain the Haranir Heritage Armor, you must complete the "Heritage of the Haranir" achievement by reaching level 50 on a newly created Haranir character.
