What Is the Omnium Folio in Patch 12.0.7?
Introduced in Midnight Patch 12.0.7, the Omnium Folio is a compact player power system built around a magical runic ledger. Unlike many previous borrowed power systems, the Folio is not attached to a gear piece and does not occupy a gear slot. Its bonus damage, healing, survivability, and secondary stat bonuses work alongside your existing equipment and class talents.
The Folio is connected to the Sunstrider Omnium, an ancient elven relic created by Dath’remar Sunstrider. Players unlock the Omnium Folio through a short questline involving Grand Magister Rommath and Magister Umbric, including The Omnium Reawakens. Weekly progression across multiple weeks then unlocks more runes, with Week 5 opening the final row and allowing the system to reach its maximum potential.

Before You Start
Your character must be Level 90 and have completed the original Sunstrider Omnium unlock questline, starting with The Magisters’ Call, picked up from the Magister’s Missive in Silvermoon City. As of the July 14 hotfixes, Seeking Knowledge prerequisites from Week 2 onward are account-wide. Motes of Omnial Inquiry are account-wide as well, so once one character earns the fifth Mote, eligible alts gain access to all five rune rows without repeating Week 5.
Missed an earlier week? Complete the outstanding Seeking Knowledge quests consecutively until Week 5 becomes available. If you’re stuck on Week 4’s Magical Primessence, completing a Tier 1 Delve is usually the fastest option. How to Reach Magister’s Terrace and Naigtal (or Val)
- In Silvermoon City, head to the Magister’s Missive and take Grand Magister Rommath’s portal to Magister’s Terrace: /way #2393 47.9 51.6 Magister’s Missive and Portal
- Pick up Seeking Knowledge Week 5 of 5: Off-World Magic from Magister Umbric.
- Naigtal and Val are instanced Showdown Zones with no flying or Skyriding access — enter through the Greater Void Portal in Voidstorm: /way #2405 51.4 71.3 Greater Void Portal. If you haven’t unlocked the current Showdown Zone yet, speak with Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City and begin The Time to Strike.
Either World Tier works for the World Quest requirement — Normal is fine unless you’re also farming Heroic-zone rewards.
Omnium Folio Final Week: Complete Naigtal World Quests
Once you have access to the active zone, Week 5 usually takes around 10–20 minutes. Three World Quests are normally active at a time and rotate approximately every 20 minutes, though phasing and boss availability may extend the process.
- Accept the quest before defeating the boss, as previous kills will not satisfy the objective.
- Go for the world boss first (Nexus-Captain Leth’ir in Naigtal, Imperator Pertinax in Val). Manually loot the corpse to obtain the Fragment of Alien Magic. If the boss is tied to one of the currently active World Quests, the kill may also advance your World Quest counter, so check the tracker afterward.
- Reported raid-group issue as of July 19, 2026: Some players have failed to receive the Fragment of Alien Magic while killing the boss in a raid group. Leave the raid before the boss dies, remain close enough for kill credit, and manually loot the corpse outside the raid. If the fragment doesn’t drop, confirm Off-World Magic is active and try the boss again.
- Check your counter, then complete enough additional World Quests to reach three total.
Optional Double-Dip: Before entering Naigtal or Val, pick up the active zone’s Showdown weekly from Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City. The World Quests completed for Off-World Magic will also advance this weekly objective, while rares, events, bonus objectives, and treasures provide further progress toward its additional Showdown cache.

Best Omnium Folio Runes for Week 5
The fifth Mote unlocks the last row, where you pick one of three general enhancements — these modify your existing Core and Lingering Runes rather than being class-specific abilities. Open the Omnium Folio through its icon in the bottom-left corner of the minimap. You can freely change your selected runes whenever you are outside combat.

Rune of Overload is the safest default for most players because it immediately doubles the effectiveness of the Core Rune. Rune of Echoes trades that front-loaded benefit for a delayed repeat after 10 seconds, while Rune of Residual Energy focuses its bonus entirely on the eight-second Lingering effect. Rune of Residual Energy may offer situational value for specializations whose Folio output benefits heavily from the Lingering effect — check your current specialization guide before switching from Overload.

Does the Naigtal or Val world boss count as one of the three required World Quests?
