Frequently Asked Questions

I’m totally puzzled. How exactly does the PvP Tier system work in WoW Cataclysm?

PvP Tiers in Cataclysm work something like that (we’ll be brief):

  • Three seasons — Season 9, Season 10, and Season 11 — have three tiers of PvP gear each (hence nine total in Cataclysm, although within a season, those are mostly recolors);
  • The first tier is the lowest one; you can purchase these items with Honor points (lower-tier PvP currency); each Season, its item level increases like that: 352/371/390;
  • The second (Normal) tier is the one you can buy with Conquest points (higher-tier PvP currency); the item level increase between Seasons is as follows: 365/384/403;
  • The third (Elite) tier is a recolored version of the second one. You can buy it upon achieving a 2200+ Rating in PvP (Ranked 3v3 and 5v5 Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds) and purchase it with Conquest points; the gear ilvl is not increased, but the weapon ilvl does increase. Check out how the weapon item levels grow with each tier and season:
    • Season 9 PvP weapons:
      • First tier: no PvP weapons;
      • Second tier: ilvl 359 (Conquest points);
      • Third tier: ilvl 372 (Conquest points, 2200+ PvP Rating);
    • Season 10 PvP weapons:
      • First tier: ilvl 359 (Honor points);
      • Second tier: ilvl 378 (Conquest points);
      • Third tier: ilvl 391 (Conquest points, 2200+ PvP Rating);
    • Season 11 PvP weapons:
      • First tier: ilvl 378 (Honor points);
      • Second tier: ilvl 397 (Conquest points);
      • Third tier: ilvl 410 (Conquest points, 2200+ PvP Rating).

Can I still get the Elite gear set from a previous Season after it ended?

No, you can’t get the Elite gear set from a season that has already ended. Elite PvP tier sets are recolored versions of Normal PvP tier sets and are meant to distinguish your accomplishments during a current Season. That’s why getting those while there’s still time is so important — buy WoW Cataclysm PvP Elite Gear Boost before it’s too late!

As for the other versions of that gear, this is where things become complicated. Let’s see how this works:

  • In Season 9 (named Vicious), there is one PvP Tier set model for your class with three recolors:
    • Bloodthirsty (ilvl 352) for Honor points;
    • Normal Vicious (ilvl 365) for Conquest points;
    • Elite Vicious (ilvl 365) for Conquest points and 2200+ PvP Rating
      (pay no attention to its name ‘Ruthless’ on WowHead: it’s a mistake; the items themselves are named correctly);
  • In Season 10 (named Ruthless), Elite Vicious and Normal Vicious set recolors become unobtainable, but a Bloodthirsty set model (which is the same model as the two others but with somewhat muted colors) replaces the new lower-tier seasonal set and gains ilvl 371 instead of 352 and a name Vicious:
    • Vicious (ilvl 371) for Honor points (old Season 9 Bloodthirsty model);
    • Normal Ruthless (ilvl 384) for Conquest points (new model);
    • Elite Ruthless (ilvl 384) for Conquest points and 2200+ PvP Rating (new model recolor);
  • In Season 11 (named Cataclysmic), Elite Ruthless and Vicious set recolors become unobtainable, but a Normal Ruthless set model takes the new lower-tier slot and receives the ilvl upgrade from 371 to 390:
    • Ruthless (ilvl 390) for Honor points (old Season 10 Normal Ruthless model);
    • Normal Cataclysmic (ilvl 403) for Conquest points (new model);
    • Elite Cataclysmic (ilvl 403) for Conquest points and 2200+ PvP Rating (new model recolor).

Starting with Season 12 (Mists of Pandaria), all of these Tier set models became unavailable in retail WoW. However, in the Legion expansion, all those sets except for their Elite versions were added back to obtain.

Will any remaining Conquer points carry over to the next Season?

No, all the Conquer points left in your pockets at the end of a given Season will be converted into Honor points (a lower-tier PvP currency) when the next Season begins. Be sure to spend those before it happens.

Which PvP achievements will I earn during Cataclysm Elite PvP Gear Boost?

Here are some of the achievements you are guaranteed to earn during our service if you are new to PvP and your PvP achievement list is a clean slate:

There are a bunch of extra spur-of-the-moment achievements that are not guaranteed, but there’s a chance we’ll still manage to get some of those for you along the way!

What’s the difference between Honor points and Conquest points?

The difference between Honor points and Conquest points is that the Honor points are the lower-tier PvP currency obtained in unrated battlegrounds and via Honorable kills (you have to participate in killing an opposite faction player of approximately the same level as you), while Conquest points are a higher-tier PvP currency gained in RBGs (Rated Battlegrounds) and Ranked Arena matches. The latter is used to buy powerful PvP gear, while the former can be used to purchase some lower-tier PvP items.

How is PvE and PvP gear any different?

The resilience stat is the main difference between PvE and PvP gear. Resilience reduces damage from other players in PvP and is a stat associated with PvP gear only (meaning you won’t find any resilience on PvE gear or on your character, as opposed to innate stats such as intelligence or strength).

Higher resilience means less incoming PvP damage. Buy WoW Cataclysm PvP Elite Gear Carry to be fully prepared for any possible run-in with a human enemy!

Do you price match if I manage to find your service at a lower cost elsewhere?

Yes, we will gladly do a price match, provided a platform offering the service at a lower price should be a trustworthy one. Scam service providers do not count.
