The new season is out! Check our Complete Dragonflight Season 2 Mythic+ Guide if you’re looking for an up-to-date analysis of the Mythic system. UPD We’re also recommend to view our Mythic+ Compendium, with all the Dungeon tactics and M+ Loot.
Every new WoW Mythic season brings some new features in the form of seasonal affixes and unique rewards. Every season One represents expansion dungeons as well.
Also we’re recommend you to read our guide about DRAGONFLIGHT SEASON 3 PVP
There are usually eight new dungeons to explore and conquer, represented at the beginning of the expansion. This time, however, the developers separated dungeons into two parts. Season One represents four new instances; the other four will come from previous expansions.
A new seasonal affix is called Thundering, and we will talk about it below. A new affix rotation and rewards are here as well. Apart from achievements, we are given a beautiful but, surprisingly, ground mount.
We welcome you to the Season One Mythic+ dungeons overview. Settle down as we begin.

WoW Affixes Description
Affixes for dungeons of a Mythic+ difficulty change every week. In addition to the ones we know, a new one appears every season. Hence, we already have the following:
Title | Description |
Fortified | Non-boss enemies have 20% more health and inflict up to 30% increased damage. |
Raging | Non-boss enemies enrage at 30% health remaining, dealing 50% increased damage until defeated. |
Quaking | Periodically, all players emit a shockwave, inflicting damage and interrupting nearby allies. |
Tyrannical | Bosses have 30% more health. Bosses and their minions inflict up to 15% increased damage. |
Bursting | When slain, non-boss enemies explode, causing all players to suffer damage over 4 seconds. This effect stacks. |
Sanguine | When slain, non-boss enemies leave behind a lingering pool of ichor that heals their allies and damages players. |
Spiteful | Fiends rise from the corpses of non-boss enemies and pursue random players. |
Bolstering | When any non-boss enemy dies, its death cry empowers nearby allies, temporarily increasing their maximum health by 15% and damage by 20%. |
Grievous | Injured players suffer increasing damage over time until healed. |
Volcanic | While in combat, enemies periodically cause gouts of flame to erupt beneath the feet of distant players. |
Storming | While in combat, enemies periodically summon damaging whirlwinds. |
Explosive | While in combat, enemies periodically summon Explosive Orbs that will detonate if not destroyed. |
The First Seasonal Affix for Dragonflight: Thundering
The new affix is called Thundering. The description stays: “Enemies have 5% more health. While in combat, players are periodically overcharged with primal power from Raszageth’s unending storm. This power comes with great risk, and failure to discharge it quickly can have stunning consequences”.
This technically means that in combat, some players will receive a positive charge, Mark of Lightning, and others – a negative charge, Mark of Wind. All players deal 30% increased damage and healing for up to 15 seconds while being overloaded. If a player with the opposite charge happens to be within 100 yards distance, you will be affected by the Primal Overload debuff that stuns and deals damage for 5 seconds. To remove the effect, run through the player with the opposite charge. Better do it sometime later to make use of a 30% increased damage buff that you get while affected by the debuff.
Luckily, you won’t have any debuff if no one has the opposite charge. There are five people in a party, so one of you will always stay alive.
Dragonflight Season One Affix Rotation
The new expansion changed the rotation of affixes over ten weeks. Now it will look like this:
Week # | Affix 1(Keystone Level 2+) | Affix 2( Level 4+) | Affix 3(Level 7+) | Seasonal Affix(Level 10+) |
1 | Fortified | Raging | Quaking | Thundering |
2 | Tyrannical | Bursting | Grievous | Thundering |
3 | Fortified | Sanguine | Volcanic | Thundering |
4 | Tyrannical | Raging | Storming | Thundering |
5 | Fortified | Spiteful | Grievous | Thundering |
6 | Tyrannical | Sanguine | Explosive | Thundering |
7 | Fortified | Bolstering | Storming | Thundering |
8 | Tyrannical | Spiteful | Quaking | Thundering |
9 | Fortified | Bursting | Explosive | Thundering |
10 | Tyrannical | Bolstering | Volcanic | Thundering |
The Thundering affix will be present in every Mythic+ dungeon with a Keystone 10 and higher till the end of a season.
A blue post states that players will get an extra two scores for each Mythic+ level starting at Keystone +11 in Dragonflight Season 1! So it makes sense to go further.

Profession Items
Since professions were severely remodified in Dragonflight, some reagents became valuable. Taking this into consideration, here is a short list of the most interesting profession-related loot:
- Primal Chaos always drops and in high quantities, too;
- Primal Focus may drop from Mythic+ keys ranging from level 10-15;
- Primal Infusion sometimes drops from Mythic+ keys 15+.
Achievements
A new season brings multiple achievements, including very limited ones. Below you may find a complete list with brief information about each.
Keystone Explorer
Dragonflight Keystone Explorer: Season One: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 750 during Dragonflight Season One.
Keystone Conqueror
Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season One: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 1500 during Dragonflight Season One.
Title reward: [name], the Thundering

Play with pros and raise your Mythic score to 2k+
Keystone Master
Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season One: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2000 during Dragonflight Season One.
To go that far, players have to pass all eight dungeons with a Keystone 15+ difficulty in time each week. The specially designed system counts all scores for a specific dungeon and uses the highest as the basis. The lower score is then added at half of its rating.
Mount reward: Hailstorm Armoredon. This is a ground mount, and the description says: “Born in the middle of an ice storm, this Armoredon prefers its meals partially frozen.” We know little about this mount, apart from the fact that this is a great-looking Kodo remodel.
EpicCarry offers a Mythic +15 Boost, where you may not only raise your rating and get closer to the Keystone Master achievement and the corresponding mount but have a chance to obtain 398 ilvl gear from the dungeon and a 411 ilvl gear from the Great Vault in a week’s time.
Keystone Hero
Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season One: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2500 during Dragonflight Season One.
Item reward: Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone. This item changes the appearance of Season One class sets.
Apart from this, you will gain unique achievements and the ability to teleport to the dungeon entrance for completing a Mythic Keystone level 20 or higher within the time limit.
