| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |

SSD space, internet, and input requirements
The World of Warcraft Forever minimum requirements include an SSD with 128 GB free, a broadband connection, and a display resolution of at least 1280 × 720; these requirements apply to both platforms and both specification tiers. Having a Battle.net login plus the desktop client for Battle.net is also required.
For input, the minimum is a keyboard and mouse, while the recommended configuration lists a mouse with multiple buttons and a scroll wheel.
GPU architecture requirements
Since the November 4, 2026 launch, WoW Forever requires one of the following GPU architectures or a newer one. The architecture cutoff enables RGBA16F UAV functionality in compute shaders for the game’s visual update.
| Manufacturer | Oldest supported architecture | Example cards at the architecture level |
| AMD | Graphics Core Next 1, introduced in 2012 | Passes: Radeon HD 7850; unsupported: Radeon HD 6950 |
| NVIDIA | Maxwell, introduced in 2014 | Passes: GeForce GTX 9xx, GTX 750, GTX 750 Ti; unsupported: GTX 760, GTX 770, GTX 780, GTX 8xxM |
| Intel | Skylake, introduced in 2015 | Passes: HD Graphics 530; unsupported: HD Graphics 6000 |
Blizzard identifies the cards in the passing examples as still falling well below the game's minimum requirements. Use the platform specification tables when choosing replacement hardware.
How to check your graphics card in Windows
- Open Settings, enter System, select Display, and then open Advanced display to find the GPU manufacturer and model.
- Compare the exact model with the architecture requirements and the full Windows graphics specification.
- If the GPU uses an architecture older than the supported cutoff, upgrade it before playing.
You can alternatively open Device Manager and expand Display adapters to identify the installed graphics hardware. For a laptop with integrated graphics, identify the exact GPU before assuming compatibility.
Before purchasing a replacement, check its power supply connections, case clearance, operating system compatibility, and suitability for your display.
