WoW Forever weapon trainers follow the Classic capital-city layout, with four Weapon Masters for each faction distributed across three capitals. To equip an unfamiliar weapon type, you must first learn its skill, and your class determines which types you can learn.
Alliance weapon trainer locations
Stormwind: Woo Ping
Find Woo Ping at Weller's Arsenal in the Trade District, opposite the Auction House. His training covers Crossbows, Daggers, Staves, Polearms, One-Handed Swords and Two-Handed Swords.
Ironforge: Buliwyf Stonehand and Bixi Wobblebonk
Head to Timberline Arms in the southern part of the Military Ward to reach both trainers. Choose between them by weapon type:
- Buliwyf Stonehand: Teaches Guns, Fist Weapons, One-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces and Two-Handed Maces.
- Bixi Wobblebonk: Teaches Thrown, Crossbows and Daggers.
Darnassus: Ilyenia Moonfire
Look for Ilyenia Moonfire on the Warrior's Terrace, close to the city's main entrance. You can learn Thrown, Staves, Daggers, Bows and Fist Weapons here.
Horde weapon trainer locations
Orgrimmar: Sayoc and Hanashi
Enter Arms of Legend in the Valley of Honor to find both Weapon Masters together. Their shared location does not mean they offer identical training.
- Sayoc: Teaches Daggers, Fist Weapons, Thrown, Bows, One-Handed Axes and Two-Handed Axes.
- Hanashi: Teaches Staves, Thrown, Bows, One-Handed Axes and Two-Handed Axes.
Thunder Bluff: Ansekhwa
Find Ansekhwa beside the weapon tent on the Lower Rise. Training here covers Staves, Guns, One-Handed Maces and Two-Handed Maces.
Undercity: Archibald
Go to the War Quarter and look beside the weapon merchants for Archibald. He offers Polearms, Crossbows, Daggers, One-Handed Swords and Two-Handed Swords.

Find a Weapon Master through a guard or the map
To locate WoW Forever weapon trainers through a city guard:
- Speak to a guard and select the Weapon Master option.
- Follow the marker placed on your minimap.
You can also open the city's World Map to find its weapon trainer markers.
Weapon training cost and level requirements
| Training | Required character level | Base price |
| Weapon skills other than Polearms | 1 | 10 silver per skill. |
| Polearms | 20 | 1 gold. |
Faction reputation discounts reduce these prices. A trainer can only offer weapon types your class supports; check your class's eligibility if the skill you want is missing.
Raise weapon skill after training
Unlocking a weapon type and improving its skill are separate steps: after learning it, equip a matching weapon and attack enemies to gain skill. Practice before relying on a newly learned type in a dungeon.
Use melee attacks for melee weapons and shoot with the ranged weapon you want to improve; your weapon skill cap increases as your character levels. Each type progresses separately, so using a One-Handed Sword does not improve Two-Handed Swords, and switching types preserves the skill you previously earned.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I learn Wands?
Mages, Priests and Warlocks start with Wand proficiency, so you do not visit a Weapon Master for it; other classes cannot learn it.
Does weapon training unlock Dual Wield?
No. Dual Wield is a separate class ability, so learning another weapon type does not grant it.
