Patch Notes for WoW Season of Discovery Phase 5

Blackwing Lair is a new place where you can team up with up to 40 friends to fight tough monsters. This raid will open on September 26, 2024. You can also make the raid harder by adding extra challenges. If you beat the raid with these challenges, you will get better rewards, but only up to three challenges give extra prizes.

New Raid: Zul’Gurub
Zul’Gurub is another new raid, but this one is for smaller groups of players. You can bring up to 20 friends to fight enemies in this raid. The raid has new head and leg enchants for different classes, and a very hard fight against the boss, Hakkar, with a special challenge.

New Raid: The Crystal Vale
The Crystal Vale is a new area where you and up to 40 players can fight the boss Thunderaan. You don’t need to be on any special quest to fight him, and he drops new powerful items like Tier 2 belts.

Classes changes
Several classes got changes to make their abilities work better. Some abilities now help more players, some abilities got faster cooldowns, and other abilities deal more damage.

Items
Some items are getting new upgrades. There are 12 new relics and Tier 2 bracers that you can buy in Booty Bay when Blackwing Lair unlocks. But some weapons that were too strong are now a little weaker.

PvP
In PvP (player vs player), you will now get double the honor rewards for winning or losing matches. There are also new rules for how much damage players take, so you will take less damage from other players.
