Can you tell me about Occu’thar’s abilities in short?
Here’s the rundown of Occu’thar’s abilities:
- Focused Fire — this ability focuses a random player’s location and deals a modest amount of damage within 12 yards of this point for 3.5 seconds. The damage increases over time;
- Searing Shadows — the boss deals a lot of damage in a 60-degree cone in front of him and applies a debuff increasing damage dealt from Shadow abilities by 100% for 30 seconds;
- Eyes of Occu’thar — these are the adds summoned by Occu’thar attached to each player of the raid group for the 10-second duration. Their abilities are:
- Gaze of Occu’thar — each eye deals a modest amount of damage to a corresponding player every 5 seconds for 10 seconds;
- Occu’thar’s Destruction — if you have an eye on your character you haven’t managed to kill during the initial 10-second time frame (just stack together and eliminate them with AoEs), the eye will explode and deal Shadow damage to all the players. This is deadly if there are a lot of eyes!
I know there’s a third boss called Alizabal in Baradin Hold. Can we kill her as well?
Indeed, there’s a third boss called Alizabal in Baradin Hold, but the Baradin’s Hold gimmick is that it saw the addition of new bosses in each Cataclysm patch. On retail WoW, Alizabal was added only with the Hour of Twilight update (the Dragon Soul raid). If you’re reading this when it’s only Rage of the Firelands (Phase 2) or Phase 1, Alizabal is not there yet, and we’ll have to wait a bit. Her loot will be the best among all the Baradin Hold bosses.
