Caged Hearts Farm
In the first season of Diablo 4, the Season of the Malignant, a new mechanic has been introduced that revolves around Malignant Monsters and the powerful Malignant Hearts they drop. These Malignant Hearts, when captured and turned into Caged Hearts, play a significant role in the game, offering players the opportunity to enhance their characters and gear in unique ways.
To capture these Malignant Hearts and turn them into Caged Hearts, players must use a special item called the Cage of Binding. This process involves performing a ritual that not only captures the Malignant Heart but also summons a stronger version of the Malignant Monster that was defeated. Successfully completing this ritual rewards the player with a Caged Heart.
The Caged Hearts Farm service focuses on this mechanic, offering players the opportunity to acquire a desired number of Caged Hearts without having to grind Malignant Monsters. This service is especially beneficial for players looking to enhance their characters and gear quickly and efficiently.

What are Malignant Monsters in Diablo 4 Season 1
Malignant Monsters in Diablo 4 are a new threat that has emerged in the Season of the Malignant. These corrupted creatures, born from Lilith’s sinister machinations, roam Sanctuary, mindlessly attacking anyone in range without hesitation. These are not your typical foes; these partly corrupted enemies drop a Malignant Heart when slain.
To capture these Malignant Hearts, players must perform a ritual with the Cage of Binding, an item acquired during the season’s questline. However, capturing the heart is not a simple task. The partly corrupted mobs will be reborn as a fully corrupted elites, a stronger version of the original malignant monster. Defeating Malignant enemies will drop a version of the Malignant Heart that can be placed into special Infested Sockets in your Jewelry, replacing a normal gem.Read More
These Malignant Hearts are not just trophies; they are powerful tools that can be used to enhance your character’s abilities. The first season of Diablo 4 introduces 32 Malignant Hearts across four categories that provide new, unique bonuses. As players encounter more menacing Malignant Creatures, the strength of their Malignant Hearts will grow, offering even more potent bonuses.
One of the best places to farm Malignant Hearts is in the new Malignant Tunnels. These dungeons are teeming with monsters affected by the Malignant corruption. These tunnels are an ideal location for players looking to acquire Malignant Hearts and face off against the newest boss battle, Varshan the Consumed. It is also worth noting that Season 1 features are unavailable for eternal realm characters; you’ll have to create a seasonal character and level it up to experience the new content.
Caged Hearts and Infested Sockets in Season of the Malignant
In Diablo 4’s Season of the Malignant, Caged Hearts play a significant role in enhancing your character’s power. These special items can be inserted into Infested Sockets, which are found on gear like rings and amulets. Unlike regular gems, Caged Hearts offer Malignant Powers that are sometimes even more potent than Legendary Powers.
There are 32 different types of Malignant Hearts, each with a unique Malignant Power. The power of these hearts increases as you collect them from higher-level enemies and in higher World-Tiers. They are categorized into four color-coded groups, which correspond to the colors of Infested Sockets. The categories are Pink (Devious), Orange (Vicious), Blue (Brutal), and a very rare and powerful White category (Wrathful). The Wrathful Caged Heart can be slotted into any Infested Socket, regardless of its color.
It’s important to note that any socket applied to gear in the seasonal realm via vendors will be randomly assigned a colored socket. This means that the color of the Infested Socket you get is based on luck. However, the color of the socket determines which category of Caged Heart can be inserted into it. For instance, a Brutal (Blue) Caged Heart can only be inserted into a blue Infested Socket.
As your character progresses and grows in power, older Caged Hearts may become less effective compared to the new ones you collect. But don’t worry, these old or incompatible hearts are not wasted. They can be sacrificed to obtain a crafting resource that can be used to create new Caged Hearts and special items called Invokers.
Crafting Malignant Hearts and Invokers with Malignant Ichor
If you have Malignant Hearts that you don’t need, you can disassemble them to craft a new Heart or an item called an Invoker – a device you can use on Malignant Outgrowths to farm more Caged Hearts.
Caged Hearts come in four types: Vicious, Brutal, Devious, and Wrathful. Each type of heart offers unique Malignant Powers that can significantly enhance your character’s abilities. However, as your character grows stronger and you collect more powerful hearts, older Caged Hearts may become less useful.
This is where crafting comes into play. You can sacrifice old or incompatible Caged Hearts to obtain a crafting resource known as Malignant Ichor. This Ichor can then be used to craft new Caged Hearts and special items called Invokers.
The Malignant Ichor obtained from salvaged Caged Hearts retains the color and affix of the original heart. There are three types of Malignant Ichor: Vicious, Brutal, and Devious. You can combine the Ichor of two different types to create a new Caged Heart of the third type. For instance, a Brutal Caged Heart can be made from a combination of Devious and Vicious Malignant Ichor, and so on.
Invokers are special items that allow you to farm specific categories of Caged Hearts in a more targeted way. By using an Invoker on a Malignant Outgrowth of a specific color, you can summon an enemy that guarantees a Caged Heart of the Outgrowth’s color. This reliability makes Malignant Tunnel farming the most dependable way to get Caged Hearts you need.
