How to obtain Infernal Compasses?
You can obtain Infernal Compasses via Season-related quest lines, world activities such as events and world bosses, and as a random drop from Diablo 4’s most powerful enemies. The very first one is obtained via the introductory quest line “The Eye of the Enemy” acquired at the beginning of the season. Higher World Tier and difficulty of the encounter – higher tier compass you’ll receive. Doesn’t sound that challenging, but trust us, RNG makes the entire ordeal a bit more infuriating than it should be.
What happens with Infernal Compass if I fail my Infernal Hordes run?
Naturally, it disappears from your inventory. Infernal Compases are your one-way tickets to the Infernal Hordes event and are consumed upon using the portal to the event.
How do I upgrade Infernal Compasses to the higher tier?
Each Infernal Hordes run will give you a few reward chests to pick from. Spoils of Materials will provide you with an Abysall Scroll item, which can later be used to update your compasses. However, it’s entirely possible to get an Abysall Scroll as a random drop from the powerful demons of the Sanctuary.
How many Tiers of Infernal Compasses are there?
8 different Tiers. 1-3 can be found as RNG drops from the Sanctuary’s demons, while higher Tiers have to upgrade with Abysall Scrolls. Each Tier of Infernal Compass means a new difficulty level of the event, with higher rewards and better gear awaiting you the higher you go.
