How to Get Primal Raptor Mounts

Primal Raptors are dropped from the Cracked Primal Egg, created three days after looting a Primal Egg. Here’s how to get started:

Head to the Isle of Giants

The Primal Egg can be obtained by killing elite dinosaurs on the Isle of Giants north of Kun-Lai Summit in Pandaria. This egg is a rare drop from any of the elite dinosaurs on the Isle of Giants, so you’ll need to be patient and persistent in your hunting.

Wait for the Cracked Primal Egg to Hatch

Once you have obtained the Primal Egg, hold on for three days until it turns into a Cracked Primal Egg.

When the Cracked Primal Egg hatches, you have a 100% chance of getting one of three raptors: the Reins of the Black Primal Raptor, the Reins of the Green Primal Raptor, or the Reins of the Red Primal Raptor. Remember that the odds of getting all three colors on the first three eggs are just 2 in 9 (or 22%).

Here are some additional tips to help you in farming the Primal Raptor mounts:

It’s important to note that you can only hold one Primal Egg at a time, and you won’t be able to loot another one until the previous one has cracked.
Keep trying: The drop rate for the Primal Egg is low, so be prepared to spend some time hunting for it. Don’t give up!
While hunting for the Primal Egg, be sure to gather as many bones as possible. These elite dinosaurs also drop 1-45 bones each. That can be changed for Bone-White Primal Raptor.
