Additional Options

Unlock Zaralek World Quests — our booster will progress to and complete the “Six Hundred Feet Under” quest.

Everything you Need to Know About the Researchers Under Fire Event
Researchers Under Fire is a recurring event that can be found within Zaralek Cavern. It lasts for a limited amount of time and restarts after a short interval. This 25-minute event consists of up to 12 steps that players must collaborate to complete to receive rewards. Throughout the event, your small group of adventurers will battle against Titan forces’ elite mobs, and Sundered Flame Forces while completing objectives. As you progress through the Researchers Under Fire event, you’ll encounter various objectives that will test your skills and teamwork. To earn higher-tier rewards, it’s essential to have Sundered Flame Forces and Titan Forces defeated as they will resist Rannan. As you progress through the event, the timer will count down, and the rewards you receive will depend on how many objectives you have completed. The event’s dynamic nature allows for an exciting and challenging experience designed to keep you engaged week after week.
Aside from the main objectives, you’ll also have the opportunity to interact with the friendly Niffen faction, Tuberros, who you will meet and get to know during the events of the Embers of Neltharion campaign. By building your reputation with Loam Niffen, you’ll unlock various rewards, making the event even more rewarding for those who invest time and effort into it.
Moreover, Flightstones play a vital role in the Dragonflight expansion, allowing you to upgrade your gear and become even more powerful. By participating in the Researchers Under Fire event, you can accumulate a substantial amount of Flightstones and Unearthed Fragrant Coins, enabling you to continually improve your character’s strength.

The event can go in one of two directions: Titan Lockdown scenario or Zaqali Djaradin Ruins.
Titan Lockdown scenario
In the Titan Lockdown scenario, your goal is to lift a hostile Titan lockdown of a mining operation in the Sulfur Wastes. You will face powerful foes such as the Titan Containment Response Force and need to ensure that Sundered Flame Forces defeated. The event starts with a separate timer and lasts for half-hour.
Zaqali Djaradin Ruins scenario
Zaqali Djaradin Ruins scenario, you will explore the abandoned Zaqali Djaradin ruins in the Molten Overflow. Your task is to collect Djaradin Pillar Shards throughout the area. Later scenarios will require you to assist Rannan in various tasks, such as having Titan Forces defeated.
Enemies and objectives will change depending on which scenario is active, but they both culminate with a fight against the Sundered Flame leader, Captain Reykal. Successful completion of these objectives will earn participants valuable rewards and achievements.
The New Niffen friends Tuberros play a crucial role in the event, as they help you throughout the process. By building your reputation with the friendly faction Loam Niffen, you can unlock various rewards such as gear, mounts, pets, and other in-game items.
Rewards for Completing the Event
Rewards from this week-based event are split into four tiers and get progressively better the more objectives you complete. The Researcher´s Gift chest is upgraded to next quality level every three objectives you complete. You’ll get:
The contents don’t change, but every next tier contains more rewards than the previous.
Flightstones
The main reason to participate in the event is to acquire Flightstones.
Flightstones are a new currency introduced in the Dragonflight Patch 10.1. They play a crucial role in the Item Upgrade System, allowing players to enhance their Dragonflight Season 2 gear’s item level and overall power. Obtaining Flightstones is possible through multiple in-game activities, such as completing quests, and participating in dungeons, raids, PvP, and special events. Farming this event is the fastest way to obtain large quantities of Unearthed Fragrant Coins and Flightstones. You’ll also want to give it your best because your performance directly affects the reward you get: the higher the tier of the chest you get, the greater currency rewards will be.
Unearthed Fragrant Coins
This new currency can be used to purchase chests containing Shadowflame Crest fragments, a reagent you’ll need to buy Shadowflame Crests, which serve as a reagent you use to upgrade your Adventurer, Veteran, and Champion gear. Additionally, you can use these on optional reagents for your profession recipes. You can purchase chests with coins once a week.
Once you stop benefitting from Shadowflame Crests, you will also be able to exchange the coins for Coveted Bauble and purchase cosmetic items, so the new currency never stops being useful.
High-Quality Adventurer Gear
The event also awards high-quality upgradeable gear. Adventurer gear is a good starting point during the pre-season. It starts at Item level 389 and you can upgrade it to a higher item level using Flightstones 411 item level is as high as it can go.
Reputation with Loam Niffen
Loam Niffen is a new friendly faction that inhabits Zaralek Cavern. Just like with other factions, building Renown with them unlocks various rewards such as gear, mounts, pets, and other in-game items. Completing all the weekly content grants roughly ~2000 rep with these friendly traders. However, completing the event for tier 3 grants 750 rep on top of that, which is pretty amazing given that the event only takes half-hour to complete. This makes the event one of the quickest ways to boost our rep with the new 10.1 faction. Well, aside from buying our Loam Niffen rep boost, of course.
Dragon Isles Supplies
The main farmable currency of Dragonflight. Dragon Isles Supplies can be used to buy various items, such as gear, mounts, pets, and other cosmetic items.
