How to Craft Tier 3 Gear?

Get ready to grind! You’ll need to loot Lamented Crusader gear from Zackett’s Dented Gear tokens.

Then, repair it with cursed Naxx materials like Cursed Cloth, Languished Leather, Scourged Scales, or Undeath Metal, which only someone with the “Drop Dead, Gorgeous” achievement can craft. If you don’t have the achievement, throw some gold at someone who does.

Next, purify that gear with Phylacterweave and Righteous Orbs. You’ll need more Phylacterweave than you’ve got gold. Like 3 million gold. No big deal, right?

How do I unlock Naxxramas?

First, unlock Old Scholomance and loot a Cracked Argent Dawn Commission from Rattlegore’s room. Fix it with a Righteous Orb and Truesilver Bars. Equip the trinket, kill Gandling, and start a quest chain with Duke Nicholas in Light’s Hope Chapel.

Then, hunt Eyes of Naxxramas in Live Stratholme, grab a Ward of Naxxramas and Stratholme Holy Water, and sprinkle that holy water on a hidden Dread Ward to trigger a debuff.

Now head to Lord Rivendare, burn a Hand of Naxxramas, and finish the questline. Depending on your Argent Dawn rep, the entrance fee will either make you cry or cheer. Exalted gets in for free!

Can You Still Get Tier 3 from the Black Market Auction House?

Yes, you can still get Tier 3 from the BMAH, but you’ll probably have to sell your soul for it. The competition is fierce, and the prices will make your bank account cry.

How to Get the “Drop Dead, Gorgeous” Achievement?

Drop Dead, Gorgeous feat of strength achievement is awarded for collecting an entire Tier 3 set for your class. Here’s the breakdown of this wild ride.

  1. First, you need to unlock this goblin in Naxxramas (via grappling hooks, holy water, and a quest chain). Zackett will start selling Dented Gear Tokens once he’s awake.
  2. Farm Corruptor’s Scourgestones which drop from Naxxramas bosses.
  3. Exchange them for Death’s Bargaining Chips, the currency used to buy Dented Gear Tokens from Zackett.
  4. When you buy a Dented Gear Token, there’s only a tiny chance it will turn into a piece of Lamented Crusader Gear. And you need all 8 pieces to complete the set.
  5. Once you finally get a piece of Lamented Crusader Gear it’s not ready yet. You need to repair it with cursed materials like Cursed Cloth, Languished Leather, Scourged Scales, or Undeath Metal.
  6. You’ll need to purify your newly repaired gear using Phylacterweave, and you’ll need around 1,400 in total. That’s about 2.8 million gold worth of Phylacterweave, no joke.

Naxx has 15 bosses, and each drops one Corruptor’s Scourgestone. If you’re running Naxx with 15 alts weekly, it’ll still take you 2-3 full clears to get one piece of Lamented Crusader gear. For 8 pieces, that’s around 320 Naxx clears. If you’re doing this on just one character, it might take you years!
