Buy Destiny 2 The Swarm Carry and add a reliable Arc High-Impact Machine Gun to your heavy slot without wasting weeks on Nightfall rotations. The Swarm is a 360 RPM Legendary machine gun from Nightfall: The Ordeal, built for slow-firing, high-damage bursts that chew through majors and bosses. With access to strong perks like Feeding Frenzy and Golden Tricorn, it can serve as a consistent PvE workhorse and a solid heavy-choice in PvP when you want sustained fire instead of single-shot burst damage.
You can choose either Self-Play or Piloted mode for this boost.
Estimated Start Time: 1 hour.
Estimated Completion Time: 1 day.
If you want to increase your current Power Level, please check out the Power Leveling boosting service.
The Swarm is a Nightfall-exclusive weapon and sits in a six-weapon rotation, which means it only becomes farmable every few weeks. When it finally appears, higher-difficulty Nightfalls and Grandmasters offer better drop rates—but that also means tougher enemies, Champions, and more punishing modifiers. Chasing both Adept versions and specific perk combinations turns it into a long, RNG-heavy grind for most players. Follow the steps below to place the Destiny 2 The Swarm Service order:

For PvE, The Swarm works best as a stable Arc MG that can keep firing without constant reload interruptions while gaining meaningful damage from ability kills. This setup leans into reload speed + Golden Tricorn uptime for long encounters and Nightfalls.

The Swarm is a Legendary Arc Heavy Machine Gun with a High-Impact Frame (360 RPM). High-Impact MGs fire more slowly but hit harder per bullet and are more accurate when you’re aiming and not sprinting, making The Swarm a classic lane-holding and sustained-DPS option. It drops from Nightfall: The Ordeal and can also appear as an Adept variant from Grandmaster Nightfalls.
The Swarm is one of several Nightfall-exclusive weapons on a weekly rotation. To get it run Nightfall activities during the week when THE SWARM is the featured weapon, with higher difficulties giving better drop chances. Once you obtain at least one copy, you can usually purchase additional rolls from Zavala using Vanguard Engrams, Glimmer, and other ritual currency (including Nightfall Ciphers for Adept options, depending on the current focusing system).
Yes, it’s usable and solid, but not top-tier. In Crucible, machine guns are always relevant as heavy ammo options, and The Swarm’s High-Impact frame plus perks like Dynamic Sway Reduction and Golden Tricorn can make it a consistent lane-clear tool when heavy spawns. However, most PvP players still prefer 450 RPM (Adaptive) machine guns for smoother handling, so THE SWARM tends to sit in a B-tier, “good but not best” slot.
It’s decent and very usable, especially if you don’t own the most meta MGs. Machine guns have become much better in PvE over recent seasons, and THE SWARM benefits from that trend. It can roll Feeding Frenzy for stronger reload flow and Golden Tricorn or Target Lock for damage, making it a respectable add-clear and sustained-DPS gun. That said, it usually ranks below more specialised picks like Target Lock or Bait-and-Switch MGs, so it’s commonly rated B-tier in both PvE and PvP—solid, but overshadowed by the very best options.
The Swarm (Adept) drops from Grandmaster Nightfalls when THE SWARM is the weapon tied to that week’s Nightfall. After you have at least one Adept copy, some systems allow you to purchase more Adept rolls from Zavala, but these cost extra currency and Nightfall Ciphers earned from GM completions.
