What’s the approximate drop rate of Wings of Ruin?
Why are you asking, you know this info will make you upset again. Anyway, there are no direct numbers on drop rates of such rare items such as this mount. We did manage to find some info on FF forums for you, but take it with a pinch of salt:
- The approximate drop rate for the Wings of Ruin mount from the Worqor Lar Dor (Extreme) trial is estimated to be around 5% (or 1 in 20);
- This means, statistically, you might need around 20 runs to obtain the mount. However, drop rates can vary, and you might be lucky enough to get it sooner, or it might take more attempts.
While we can’t affect infuriatingly low drop rates, we do offer a couple of tips to make the entire process as fast as possible for you:
- Join a Dedicated Group: form or join a group specifically aiming to farm the Wings of Ruin Mount. Consistent group composition can lead to better coordination and faster runs;
- Gear Up: ensure your character and party members are well-geared for the trial to increase efficiency;
- Learn the Mechanics: familiarize yourself with the trial mechanics to minimize mistakes and improve success rates. There are many guides and videos available to help with this;
- Be Persistent: keep a positive attitude and stay persistent. Sometimes the grind can be tough, but the reward is worth it!

What are the main abilities of Warqor lar Dor’s last boss?
Oh, there are quite a few of them. Also, going through the list, keep in mind that you’ll have to kill the guy at least 20 times to get the Coveted Wings. Just upselling our services a bit, nothing to see here. Anyway, here are some of the abilities you’ll need to master:
- Susurrant Breath: a wide conal AoE attack. Move to the top corners to avoid it;
- Ice Talon: AoE tankbusters targeting both tanks. Inflicts frostbite for 15 seconds;
- Tempestuous Wind: a donut-shaped AoE attack. Move to the center of the platform to avoid it;
- Trauma and Concussion: basic attacks that inflict a stacking debuff. Two stacks of Trauma will immobilize the player for a few seconds with Concussion;
- Skyruin: changes the platform to snow and deals raid-wide damage. Healers should be ready to mitigate this damage;
- Avalanche: a rumbling avalanche approaches from a specific direction. Move to the opposite side to avoid it;
- Freezing Dust: a huge indicator appears on everyone’s heads. Keep moving and jumping until the timer finishes to avoid damage and debuffs.
