Pet Battles are a new activity in Pandaria Classic that will delight collectors. You can assemble a team of three pets, expand your collection with new companions, and even battle other players. However, for a comfortable and competitive experience, you’ll need a strong team and level 25 pets.
Below, you’ll find all the information you need about selecting the right pets and leveling them up efficiently.
The first step in a pet battle is selecting the right team. All battle pets are divided into 10 families, and each family has specific strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the matchup, your pet’s damage can be either doubled or reduced by half. Refer to the table below to see the strengths and weaknesses of each family and build the most effective team for your battles.

Breeds are unique stat combinations assigned to each pet. Every pet receives two additional stat bonuses, which influence its performance in battle. Unique companions come with fixed stat boosts, while most pets captured in the open world can have varying stat distributions depending on their breed. Below is a list of all the stats your pet can have:
Each pet has a quality tier: common, uncommon, and rare. Rare-quality companions have the highest stats, making them the best choice for battles.
After defeating a wild pet, there’s a small chance to obtain a Flawless Battle-Stone, which can upgrade a companion’s quality to rare.
As of Mists of Pandaria Classic, the only way to level up your pet is by participating in pet battles. You will gain experience points as long as your opponent’s level is no more than 2 levels lower than your pet’s. Each zone has its own pet level range, so you’ll need to travel across multiple areas to reach the maximum level.
To level up more efficiently, target pet families that are weak against your pet. It’s also a good idea to equip the Safari Hat for bonus experience points.
To unlock this activity, you must find the Pet Battle Trainer in your faction’s capital city, Varzok in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Audrey Burnhep in Stormwind City (Alliance). This is where you will receive your first pet. After completing the initial quests from the trainer, you will unlock all the essential abilities and gain full access to pet battles.
The only way to level up your companion is by battling wild pets in the open world. Let our professional boosters handle this time-consuming task for you. They will quickly raise your pet to the maximum level, saving you from tedious grinding.
There are several ways to obtain battle pets in Mists of Pandaria Classic. You can tame pets through open-world battles, purchase them from vendors, or acquire them as drops from dungeon and raid bosses. You can also check the Auction House and the Black Market, where rare pets occasionally appear for sale.
