No attunement? No entry. But hey, what’s WoW without a bit of grinding, right? The attunement is basically an easy task. You’ll need to loot quest starting item, run UBRS and right click an orb there. Simple? Yes. PUG may have couple of wipes of course and there might be a lot of running back to your corpse. But once you’ve done it, you’re good to go. Remember to check your flasks, potions, and make sure you repaired your gear!
The BWL attunement quest includes killing some elite mobs, finding a quest item and a fun trip through Upper Blackrock Spire. It’s not that bad, but it’s also not like picking peacebloom in Elwynn Forest. You’ll need to be at least level 55, and bring a group with you. This is like an early stages of a raid that will require coordination, patience, and some time.
It all starts in Burning Steppes, just outside Blackrock Mountain. Look for Scarshield Quartermaster standing around like he’s waiting for someone to steal a letter from him. Because, guess what? He is! Loot Blackhand’s Command from his corpse to start your journey!
Once you’ve picked up the quest, get an UBRS raid group. Be ready for some “LF1M, need key” spams in Chat. You’ll be hunting for the Orb of Ascension, behind General Drakkisath. Complete this little adventure, and you’ll be able to enter BWL!
Nefarian should have at least put up a sign or something, right? Go into Blackrock Mountain. Head to the chain that crosses over the lava pit. From there, jump to the right side of the entrance to Upper Blackrock Spire. You’re looking for a secret orb which is called the Orb of Command, and it’s basically your portal into BWL.
Before you rush over make sure you’re attuned. Without the BWL attunement, that orb’s just useless. So, attunement first, orb second, and then get ready to face all the chaos Nefarian has in store for you.
