What’s included in Citadel des Morts Main Quest?
Quite a few overengineered steps to make things as difficult and lengthy as possible – that’s Treyarch’s approach to storytelling we’re talking about, after all. Here are some pointers to make your life a bit easier:
- Activate the Pack-A-Punch Machine: follow the objective markers to find and activate the Pack-A-Punch machine. This is a crucial step to upgrade your weapons;
- Speak to Krafft: head to the Quick Revive room in the Dungeon area and interact with Krafft. He will provide important information and guidance for your quest;
- Get the Bastard Swords: reach round 10 to start seeing zombies wearing helmets. These zombies drop orange-colored stamp items upon being killed. Pick up a stamp and interact with any of the four knight statues in the Dining Room to grab one of the Bastard Swords;
- Upgrade All Swords: each sword has a different method for upgrading, and you’ll need to carry one sword at a time. Complete the necessary challenges to upgrade all the swords;
- Complete the Undercroft Wall Puzzle: solve the puzzle in the Undercroft by interacting with the wall and arranging the symbols correctly;
- Collect All Incantations: gather the necessary incantations for each sword. These incantations can be found throughout the map and are crucial for the next steps;
- Complete the Undercroft Book Puzzle: use the collected incantations in front of the knight statues to complete the book puzzle;
- Complete Elemental Challenges: overcome the elemental challenges that test your skills and teamwork. Each challenge is unique and requires a different strategy;
- Guardian Boss Fight: face the Guardian Boss, a spectral knight wielding a massive sword. Defeat the boss to complete the main quest.

Are there any power-ups hidden on the map I should know about?

- Bonus Points: found in the Undercroft, this power-up provides additional Essence.
We do recommend, however, keeping these untouched until later waves – that Nuke is a life saver after the 30th or so wave.
