Complete the Avarice Storyline. The Crypt Gargon is part of the Avarice Storyline, which starts with the quest “Medallion of Avarice” given in Sinfall. Follow the storyline and complete all of the quests leading up to “Mirror, Mirror…” quest.
Complete “Mirror, Mirror…” Quest. Once you’ve completed the previous quests, you will receive the “Mirror, Mirror…” quest. This quest requires you to enter the red portal inside the crypt and use your covenant ability Door of Shadows, to pass the barrier. Loot Medallion of Avarice from the Curator’s Chest and come back. Now you can return the quest outside the crypt to The Curator and receive the Crypt Gargon mount as a reward.
Reach Renown 80. Normally, the Crypt Gargon can only be used by Venthyr Covenant members. However, once you reach Renown 80 with the Venthyr Covenant, the mount will become available by any character on your account.
