LEDX Skin Transilluminator Farm FAQ

What is LEDX in Tarkov?

The LEDX Skin Transilluminator is Tarkov’s version of a mythical creature! You can spend days, weeks and even months only to find nothing. Originally, it’s a high-tech medical device designed to help doctors find veins under the skin. In the brutal world of Escape from Tarkov, though, it’s more like a golden ticket.

It id worth a small fortune on the flea market and it’s also required for bartering T H I C C item case, Colt M4A1 5.56×45 assault rifle and Armasight Zeus-Pro 640 2-8×50 30Hz thermal scope. You can also use it to complete some of the quests. Need to upgrade your Medstation to level 3 in your hideout? Yep, you’ll need a LEDX for that too.

What is LEDX used for in Tarkov?

First off, it’s needed for some high-stakes barters. We’re talking about trading for gear that could make even Killa jealous: T H I C C item case, Colt M4A1 5.56×45 assault rifle and Armasight Zeus-Pro 640 2-8×50 30Hz thermal scope.

But wait, there’s more! The LEDX is a key component in not one, but two quests. You’ll need one found in raid or crafted for the “Private Clinic” quest. For the “Crisis” quest, you’ll need two more, also found in raid or crafted.

And let’s not forget about your hideout. If you’re looking to upgrade your Medstation to level 3, the LEDX is non-negotiable.

Where to find LEDX in Tarkov?

Searching for a LEDX in Tarkov is frustrating but so rewarding when you finally find one.

Shoreline’s Health Resort is the Disneyland for LEDX hunters. West Wing rooms 104, 205, 216, and 301 are just a few of the magical places where this unicorn might appear. Ever checked behind the bed in room 311? You might want to. Don’t forget East Wing rooms like 107, 110 (Sanitar’s office, anyone?), and 226. Just beware of Sanitar himself, he’s not exactly the welcoming type.

If you’re feeling brave, The Lab is a way to go too. If you can get past the Raiders and other PMCs who shoot first and don’t ask questions at all. Check the Main Working Area, server room office B12, and the various blocks like G22 and G11. Just remember, in The Lab, you’re either quick or you’re dead.

For those who prefer retail therapy, Interchange has spots like the Pharmacy, EMERCOM Medical Unit, and the ULTRA Medical Storage Room. Just watch out for Killa, he doesn’t appreciate shoppers.

Don’t overlook Customs and Woods. On Customs, the three-story dorms might just gift you a LEDX on a couch. Woods offers chances in the USEC camp and the EMERCOM camp.

And let’s not forget Streets of Tarkov and random loot spots like airdrops, buried stashes, and even the back of ambulances.
