What are Merits in ARC Raiders?
Merits in ARC Raiders are a special event currency used across the Breaking New Ground and Staking Our Claim community events. You earn them from material donations in Phase 1 and from XP gained in raids during Phase 2, then they are automatically spent on the Staking Our Claim reward track.
How to get Merits?
During Staking Our Claim, you get 1 Merit for every 100 XP earned while playing ARC Raiders, so almost any XP-granting activity increases your Merit total. Players who donated resources during the earlier Breaking New Ground event can start Phase 2 with up to 900 bonus Merits already banked.
What do I need the Merits for in ARC Raiders?
You need Merits to unlock all rewards in the Staking Our Claim event pass, which has 24 tiers of free cosmetics, Raider Tokens, utility packs, grenades, weapon augments, and other items. As you hit each Merit milestone, rewards such as Striker outfit variants, backpacks, Trailblazers, and Raider Tokens are granted automatically without any additional purchase.
How to get lots of Merits fast?
The fastest way to get lots of Merits in ARC Raiders is to farm high-XP raids consistently—especially on Stella Montis—while stacking quests, killing ARCs, looting efficiently, and prioritising safe extractions. With 1 Merit per 100 XP and 3,600 Merits needed for all rewards, efficient runs that yield around 3,000–7,000 XP each are the key to finishing the track before the event ends.
