Trials of Osiris still runs as Destiny 2’s main competitive endgame playlist, with rotating meta weapons, maps, and a live Adept reward each weekend. Trials of Osiris is Destiny 2’s weekly 3v3 Elimination endgame: a Friday–Tuesday playlist where coordinated teams chase Flawless cards for Lighthouse rewards. You start at Saint-14 in the Tower, pick a Passage, and climb through seven wins—no losses for Flawless—to unlock a Pinnacle chest and the featured Adept weapon. Regular matches also feed Trials Reputation and Trials Engrams, which Saint-14 can focus on previously unlocked weapons and armor.
Trials of Osiris uses the Dominion variant of 3v3 Elimination, where wiping the enemy team or securing a late-round capture zone decides each round. This is an elimination mode that is similar to Crucible, but still has differences. Firstly, you need to buy the Passage from the Sain-14 in the Tower to track your winnings. You will fight with other Guardians around the round objective zone for multiple rounds. Each teammate has only one life, but can be revived if allies interact with the Ghost. To win, you need to eliminate all enemies or capture the zone. The first team that wins five times will win the game. After finishing this mode, you also get the Trials Reputation points and can buy more Trials Engrams and Trials-themed exclusive loot from the Saint-14. Flawless cards and long win streaks still grant the best Lighthouse and Adept rewards, so coordinated teams that stack wins without losing matches are rewarded with extra endgame loot.

The weekly Trials loot pool still rotates between current meta weapons and reprised fan favourites, with a featured Adept each weekend for Flawless cards. Trials Passages still define your card progress, Flawless eligibility, and bonus rewards, so picking the right one before you queue is critical. Pick up a Passage from Saint-14 in the Tower to enter Trials. A Passage tracks your wins; after 7 wins on a card, additional wins can drop extra rewards (Engrams, mats, Trials gear). You can reset or swap your Passage at any time if you want to start fresh.
Trials uses two soft matchmaking pools tied to your card state, not to a specific Passage:
Challenger Pool — when your card has no losses; primarily connection-based MM.
Practice Pool — when your card is Flawed (has a loss) or for your first game of the week; uses weekly performance + connection.
Passages differ by perks, not by pool placement. Examples: Mercy forgives one loss on the way to Flawless; Ferocity gives a bonus win at three wins with a clean card; Confidence unlocks after Flawless and grants a bonus Lighthouse reward. After seven wins, further victories can award extra drops regardless of Passage.

To access the Lighthouse you now use a Lighthouse Passage and earn seven total wins in a given week—going 7-0 is not strictly required. The Lighthouse chest can award Adept Trials weapons and other Trials-themed loot; your drop chances are based on your highest weekly win streak (1/2/3+ wins = 30%/60%/100%) and on how many of your seven wins were earned as a full trio (all seven as a trio guarantees at least one Adept). Flawless (7-0) still yields the strongest overall rewards, but non-Flawless Lighthouse clears are possible.
You’ll still pick up a Passage from Saint-14, and after seven wins on any Trials Passage, additional wins can drop extra rewards like Engrams, masterworking materials, and Trials armor.
Trials reputation with Saint-14 unlocks specific rewards along the rank track, including extra Trials Engrams, focusing discounts, high-end materials, and featured weapons or armor pieces. By increasing the Sain-14 reputation rank, which shows your skill level, players can get different rewards. Here are the rewards that you can get after upgrading your rank in Trials Carry:
