Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best tactic to defeat the Synthesis Doctor?

Remember we said that Synthesis Doctor is one unpleasant guy to deal with? Well, let’s look into why exactly:

  • Preparation and general info:
    • The fight consists of two phases, the second one starting from 50% HP;
    • Before engaging the Doctor, every player will have to pick up a correspondingly colored vial located in the boss arena:
      • Damage Dealer – take the red one;
      • Healer – take the green one;
      • Tank – pick up the blue one;
  • Phase 1:
    • At the start of the fight, the boss will drop red orbs all around the area. Damage Dealer is supposed to pick them up as fast as possible, or they will eventually explode, whipping the entire team. If your Damage Dealer hasn’t picked up the red vial at the beginning of the fight – instant death the moment he touches the orb;
    • Slimes – two slimes will be spawned by the boss to pursue and kill the healers. If slimes touch the healer – you guessed it, instant death. Damage Dealers should protect the healers and clear out the slimes as fast as possible;
    • Blue Orbs – also spawn during the first phase and gradually become bigger. dealing AoE damage to everyone around them. Tanks should take care of these ones;
    • Toxin Overload – one random player gets his vial removed. A color-coded buff appears, indicating the order of potions the player has to drink to get a damage and healing buff, as well as their vial back. Fail to do so and get a slight dmg debuff. Nah, kidding, that’s insta-death.
  • Phase 2:
    • Same stuff but wilder. Firstly – all aforementioned orbs now spawn additional mobs to bother you.
    • Secondly – Fusion Explosion. A specific number of players with a specific vial need to stand in he designated, color-coded AoE area to prevent the raid wipe;
    • Thirdly – Green Chimera and Red Chimera. Both spawn randomly during the Phase 2. The first one gives the boss a damage boost if not destroyed, second one wipes the entire raid team.

That’s it. These are some kindergarten levels of color coding, making the Synthesis Doctor one of the most annoying raid bosses in Tarisland.
