How to get the Fathom Dweller Mount

Fathom Dweller is a stunning water mount that can only be obtained by completing a challenging secret questline. This guide will take you through all the steps to obtain this mount.

To start, head to the Broken Shores and locate Drak’thul. Speak to him, and he will tell you to leave him alone. This is the first step to unlocking the questline for the Fathom Dweller mount.

Next, head to a cave. The cave is easy to spot as it has a green torch outside. Once inside, search for a pile of dirt at the end of the cave, which contains a lootable relic. After looting it, exit the cave, and if rocks block the entrance, relog to reset it.

Return to Drak’thul and speak with him again. He will tell you to leave once more, but this time, there will be a red orb on his table and tiny rocks that represent the location of other spheres scattered around the Broken Isles.

Your goal now is to locate all nine of these spheres in a specific order:

  1. Cave in Azsuna with foxes outside, located at 37.82, 37.5 (jump in bushes under the tree)
  2. Stormheim, located at 33.14, 76.31 (be aware that mobs can one-shot you)
  3. Val’sharah, located at 41.5, 80.75 (be prepared for a tough fight against a powerful mob)
  4. Cave deep underwater in the Broken Shore, located at 30.01, 78.69
  5. Crystal cave in Azsuna, located at 59.26, 13.01
  6. Stormheim, under the drowned statue, under the big shark mob, located at 67.49, 14.67 (be careful of the geyser that can kill you)
  7. Highmountain, located at 55.9, 38.71
  8. Cave in Azsuna, located at 53.93, 26.39, under a rock
  9. Drowned ship in Eye of Azshara (not the instance!), located at 78.33, 89.64

After finding all nine orbs, return to Drak’thul and use the orb on his table. He will thank you for your help, and you will unlock the quest DANGER: Kosumoth the Hungering.

This quest requires you to defeat Kosumoth the Hungering in the Eye of Azshara, south of Dalaran. Once defeated, you will be rewarded with the Fathom Dweller mount.
