The tinkers will begin popping up starting around 441 skill level. Belt tinkers can be used only at skill level 500+ but can be applied to your belt at any skill level. Gloves’ tinkers do not require such a high skill level.
Here are the tinkers themselves:
- Synapse Springs (for gloves) — increases your highest primary stat by 480 for 10 seconds, 1 min cooldown;
- Z50 Mana Gulper (for gloves) — uses a Mythical Mana Potion from your inventory, increasing its power;
- Spinal Healing Injector (for gloves) — the same principle but with a Mythical Healing Potion;
- Tazik Shocker (for gloves) — deals damage at high range, 2 min cooldown;
- Quickflip Deflection Plates (for gloves) — increases your armor for 12 sec, 1 min cooldown; needs an Engineering skill of 450 to be used;
- Grounded Plasma Shield (for a belt) — activate a shield that absorbs damage; 5 min cooldown; has the following side effects that could occasionally backfire at you:
- Plasma Misfire applying Painful Shock at the nearby enemies — taunt effect;
- Magnetized! — stuns you;
- Reverse Shield — enemies are 100% more likely to deal critical damage to you;
- Cardboard Assassin (for a belt) — places a dummy on the ground that enemies will attack;
- Invisibility Field (for a belt) — become invisible out of combat; 5 min cooldown.
What are the Engineering Killshades (Goggles), and how do they affect gameplay?
Bio-Optic Killshades (Goggles) are epic ilvl 359 Head gear items only Engineers can create and use, like this model: Deadly Bio-Optic Killshades. Each gear piece boasts one Meta socket and two Engineering-specific Cogwheel sockets that can be filled only with Cogwheel gems providing secondary stats, like this one: Smooth Cogwheel.
