Switching between fire, ice, and thunder stages, Valigarmanda offers one of the most difficult encounters in the game. Defeating Valigarmanda means having perfect team coordination and impeccable knowledge of every attack the boss uses to take you down:

• Phase One: Skyruin of Flame
  • Valigarmanda fights on a raised platform; falling off or being knocked off results in death;
  • Spikesicle: curved AoE lines from the boss that spawn ice blocks, followed by explosions;
  • Volcanic Drop: AoE from volcanoes at the arena’s east/west side, with random AoEs on each party member;
  • Triscourge: raid-wide magic damage;
    • players receive Calamity’s Bolt (AoE);
    • Calamity’s Chill requires movement to avoid freezing;
    • Calamity’s Inferno: three stacks for healers, leaving fire puddles;
    • Charring Cataclysm: DPS/support stack for Fire Resistance Down II;
  • Mountain Fire: six towers relative to each side of the arena. Each tower relative to one side of the arena must be soaked by tanks. Valigarmanda bathes the arena in the fire;

  • after adds, Valigarmanda becomes targetable; prepare for Tulidisaster;
• Phase Three: Skyruin of Ice:
  • Triscourge: raid-wide magic damage;
    • Calamity’s Bolt: AoE DoT;
    • Calamity’s Bite: tank AoE buster;
    • Calamity’s Flames: healer stack with magic damage;
  • Northern Cross: large line AoE;
  • Chilling Cataclysm: safe spot based on Arcane Spheres;
  • Freezing Dust: move to avoid freezing;
  • Ice Talon: tank AoE buster with DoT;
• Phase Three Strategy:
  • manage Calamity’s Bite (tanks) and Calamity’s Flames (healers);
  • dodge Northern Cross, identify safe spots for Chill Cataclysm;
  • Spikesicle returns: dodge AoEs, ice block explosions, and line AoEs;
  • Freez Dust requires movement to avoid freezing;
  • heal and mitigate Ice Talon as tanks;
• Final Phase: Skyruin of Lightning:
  • Triscourge: raid-wide magic damage;
    • Calamity’s Fulgur: avoid levitating for AoE;
    • Calamity’s Frost: requires levitating to dodge ice boulder;
    • Calamity’s Embers: healer stack with no levitation;
  • Hail of Feathers: proximity AoE, must destroy one feather;
  • Blighted Bolt: destroys all feathers;
  • Crackling Cataclysm: AoE under all players;
  • Thunderous Breath: map-wide conal AoE, requires levitation to dodge;
  • Ruinfall: tower soak, followed by knockback;
• Phase Four Strategy:
  • stack for Calamity’s Embers (no levitation);
  • kill feathers, rotate to avoid Hail of Feathers;
  • split based on Calamity’s Fulgur (no levitation) and Calamity’s Frost (levitation);
  • Crackling Cataclysm and Thunderous Breath: avoid AoEs and position on levitating tiles;
  • Ruinfall: tanks soak and mitigate, use knockback prevention.

The extreme version is basically just higher damage than the normal mode. TLDR: watch out for curved line AoEs, don’t let that Ruinous Power Bar fill up to 100, and guard the group’s healer with your life to save time on doing reruns.
