Hydraxian Waterlords are the coolest (literally) squad in the World of Warcraft. This faction is led by Duke Hydraxis. They have a beef with the fire elementals from the Molten Core. In Azeroth, the Hydraxian Waterlords are like the firefighters. They keep the fiery forces of Ragnaros in check.

When you’re not busy slaying dragons or killing enemies on Warsong, you might want to lend a hand to Duke Hydraxis and keep the fire elementals from turning the world into their personal barbecue pit. Grab your best fire-resistant gear, it’s time to make a splash in the fight against fiery chaos!

The main man you’re looking for is Duke Hydraxis himself. He hangs out on a tiny island in Azshara. It’s not exactly a prime vacation spot, but if you enjoy secluded islands, it’s perfect! To get to Duke Hydraxis, you’ll need to head to Azshara. Don’t expect a convenient flight path. This is old-school adventuring.

Start at the base of the cliffs near the Bay of Storms and swim east. If you’re lucky, you won’t be eaten by anything bigger than you are. Duke Hydraxis and his friends can be found on this island. There you can find some quests and items that are crucial for your progression in the Molten Core. Pack your swimsuit and head to Azshara.

To start, don’t waste your time turning in quests for rep—most of them won’t give you any. The real rep grind happens by slaying elementals and bosses. Here’s your elemental hit list to get you started:

• Desert Rumbler and Dust Stormer in Silithus give you 5 rep until Honored.
• Greater Obsidian Elemental in Burning Steppes also nets you 5 rep until Honored.
• Lord Incendius in Blackrock Depths grants 15 rep until Revered.
• In the Molten Core, focus on Ancient Core Hound, Lava Surger, and Firelord for 20 rep until Revered.
• Pyroguard Emberseer in Upper Blackrock Spire also offers 20 rep until Revered.
• If you stumble upon Huricanian (a rare find in Silithus), you’ll get 25 rep until Revered.
• The big scores come from Molten Destroyer and the Lava Pack in Molten Core, rewarding 40 rep until Revered.
• For the heavy hitters, Lucifron, Magmadar, Gehennas, Garr, Baron Geddon, Shazzrah, and Sulfuron Harbinger in Molten Core each give 100 rep until Exalted.
• Golemagg the Incinerator and Ragnaros are the top dogs, offering 150 and 200 rep respectively until Exalted.

Remember, once you hit Revered, only the bosses will grant you reputation, so focus your efforts there. It’s a tough grind, but someone’s gotta keep the fire elementals in check!

The main prize you’re aiming for is the Aqual Quintessence. This item extinguishes the runes in Molten Core.They are used to summon some of the core bosses.

Having the Eternal Quintessence in your arsenal makes you desired raid member in any team. After all, nobody wants to be the one who forgot to bring the fire extinguisher to the fire party.
