Maximize your Impact Masterwork to 10 by prioritizing perks such as Jagged Edge. Employ a Taken Spec mod if you are dealing with Taken bosses, or go for the regular Boss Spec mod if you are dealing with other bosses. Swordmaster’s Guard makes heavy attacks, charging quickly and resulting in full-charge heavier blows. Matched up with Relentless Strikes and Surrounded, it allows three enemies to be within proximity so that on a kill, you get more ammo for heavy attacks and an increase of 40% in damage output, respectively. Vorpal Weapon can also provide a reliable 10% damage bonus, though less flashy. Another possibility is taking En Garde, which causes the sword to have a damage increase of about thirty percent for one and a half seconds after swapping to it.
